肥育牛に対するノルアドレナリン注入が血中遊離脂肪酸(FFA)の組成に与える影響について検討するため,0.01mg/kg体重のノルアドレナリンを頸静脈カニューレより注入し,経時的に血漿FFAの濃度と組成の変化を調べた.FFAは9-アンスリルジアゾメタンの誘導体とし,高速液体クロマトグラフィーによって分析した.血漿FFA濃度はノルアドレナリン注入によって上昇し,20分後に最大,90分後に平常値となった.血漿FFAの組成はノルアドレナリン注入によって変化し,18:1(炭素数:不飽和数),16:1,16:0,14:1の割合が増加し,18:0,18:2の割合が減少した.蓄積脂肪の脂肪酸組成との比較から,これらの変化は脂肪分解の活性化によって脂肪組織より放出される脂肪酸が増加し,血漿FFAの組成が蓄積脂肪の組成に近づいたためと考えられた.血漿FFA濃度の経時変化において,最大値からの減少速度を個々の脂肪酸について計算し,脂肪酸間の比較をすると,14:1>16:1>18:3,14:0>18:2,16:0>18:1>18:0となった.これは体組織による脂肪酸の取り込み(uptake)が脂肪酸の分子種によって異なっていることを示していると考えられた.FFAの組成は90分から120分後に平常の組成となった.
