Un enfoque diferente para la resolución de problemas

En las asignaturas en las que esta involucrada la capacidad de resolucion de problemas resulta fundamental que los alumnos desarrollen la habilidad de entender los enunciados de los problemas. Se ha detectado que el alumnado en general tiene carencias en la comprension de textos, particularmente de enunciados de problemas. En nuestro caso concreto, se ha propuesto una metodologia para los alumnos que cursan asignaturas de estadistica en grados de ingenieria, de modo que les facilite una lectura critica de estos enunciados, pero teniendo en cuenta que el objetivo de las asignaturas no es que aprendan a ‘leer’, sino estadistica. Se oferto como una actividad voluntaria con el incentivo de poder ganar una nota adicional que les permitiese aumentar la calificacion obtenida mediante las vias tradicionales. La respuesta por parte del alumnado se considero positiva, por lo que se va a repetir el esfuerzo en los proximos cursos. Ademas, se integro con otras metodologias innovadoras que fomentaban competencias genericas tales como la comunicacion oral y escrita en la propia lengua, asi como en otra lengua extranjera (en este caso, el ingles).

DATA ADQUISITION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT FOR ON ROAD MEASUREMENTS IN HEAVY VEHICLE FRAMES

Many different methodologies have been used for heavy vehicle frames design, whose goal is to optimize the predicted frame behavior. On road measurements will allow to increase the precision when predicting the stress and strain on the frame. Keeping the abovementioned information in mind, and given the importance of this process, our research group concluded it is necessary to develop a Data Acquisition System capable to carry out this task both quickly and accurately. This paper will show the developing of the Data Acquisition System used in several on road test of a semitrailer frame at Applus IDIADA test track. This report will explain all of the possibilities that the testing offers from data capture to its processing and analysis. Keywords—Data Acquisition System, on road, frame, vehicle

Modelization of ironing process. Application to a three-layered polymer coated steel.

This document shows a modelization for the ironing process (the most crucial step in can manufacturing) done by using a Neural Network. A design of experiments has been done, in which a number of process variables have been taken in consideration, controlled directly by the operator: die angle, punch speed, temperature and reduction in thickness. These will be the process inputs, whereas the exits are formed by two variables result: Surface quality factor and average roughness. Once the results have been obtained, data have been introduced in a neural network software, so that after being trained the network and used the BP algorithm (BackPropagation), generates a configuration that provides the smaller permissible error. Later, by means of the sensitivity analysis, the neural network generated has been simplified with a new configuration of a minimum error.

COMPUTER AIDED ENGINEERING IN THE INJECTION MOLDING PROCESS: DETERMINATION OF SPECIFIC HEAT CAPACITY OF A THERMOPLASTIC

One important property of thermoplastics is specific heat capacity. This property, along with others, determines the solidification time of the material inside the mold. In this work the most precise process was used. Finally, Computer simulation was used to determine optimum process conditions and ie, the injection pressure and cycle time.
