Web-based multi-screen digital signage

Sanghong Ahn; Seokhyun Song; Jinhong Yang; Hyeontaek Oh; Jun Kyun Choi

Web-based multi-screen digital signage system is designed to show a multimedia content via multiple signage screens which are connected by a network. In this demonstration, a novel method to control multi-screen digital signage is proposed. The proposed method uses standard web technologies to display same contents and seamless moving each devices screen.

Trust visualization for object management in Internet of Things

Hyeontaek Oh; Sanghong Ahn; Jun Kyun Choi; Jinhong Yang

This paper proposed trust visualization for object management in Internet of Things environment. Based on the proposed system, trust based object visualization methods are introduced. Actual implementation shows that graph-based trust visualization helps user perceptions to handle various related objects.

Data Lifecycle and Tagging for Internet of Things Applications

Sanghong Ahn; Hyeontaek Oh; Hwa Jong Kim; Jun Kyun Choi

The number of sensors and the amount of data those sensors are collecting is increasing exponentially in the form of sensor networks collectively known as the Internet of Things (IoT). Using this large volume of IoT data in context-aware systems requires new preprocessing methods. This paper introduces an IoT data lifecycle, a proposed definition of an IoT-specific context tag, and required for an automated preprocessing method called data tagging before suggesting some uses of this IoT context tag and outlining possible directions for future research.

A screen composition method for mobile interactive multi-display environment

Sanghong Ahn; Hyeontaek Oh; Seokhyun Song; Jinhong Yang; Jun Kyun Choi

To date, a mobile multi-screen system is emerged to satisfy customers requirement for playing various interactive contents with bigger screen size. However, it is costful job to configure visual mapping for screen locations. To resolve this problem, we propose an intuitive composition method for an interactive multi-screen system. With proposed method, we present scenarios that compose a visual screen with multiple display devices which have various screen size.

History based heuristic feed querying scheme in web feed aggregator

Hyeontaek Oh; Seokhyun Song; Sanghong Ahn; Jun Kyun Choi

There has been a dramatic increase in the use of XML data to deliver information over the Web. Many Web sites are now publishing feeds (most commonly known as RSS; often called really simple syndication) for their subscribers. To improve performance of content syndication system, history based pattern learning approaches are mainly used. This paper proposes a new feed querying scheme which is used in web feed aggregator. Heuristic approach is adopted to handle various feed publishing pattern. The simulation confirms that proposed scheme shows performance improvements in both item missing probability and post-it delay compared with conventional studies.

Web intent based service mashups for IoT platform

Hyeontaek Oh; Sanghong Ahn; Jinhong Yang; Seokhyun Song; Jun Kyun Choi

This paper demonstrates service control for IoT gadget platform by using web intent. The difference from legacy device-connected service is that it follows the Webs virtue loose coupling of service components. For loose coupling of these components based on the web technologies, it requires light-weight service logic for limited devices like sensor. To support loose coupling service components, proposed method manipulates Web intent which is a framework for web-based inter-application communication and service discovery. In order to show the web intent based service mashups, a meeting room reservation scenario using Google Calendar is demonstrated.
