Kadri Kiran; Serdar Tezcan

Three new species of the ant genus Aphaenogaster (A. aktaci sp. n., A. maculifrons sp. n., A. radchenkoi sp. n.) are described from Turkey and their taxonomic positions are discussed. Aphaenogaster aktaci sp. n. belongs to the obsidiana group, A. maculifrons sp. n. to subterranea group and A. radchenkoi sp. n. to pallida group of the Attomyrma subgenus. Meral Fent; Ahmet Dursun; Serdar Tezcan

Abstract Graphosoma inexpectatum Carapezza & Jindra, 2008 is described from Syria, the southern neighbor of Turkey, and is known only from the type locality. The first observation of the species in Turkey dates back to 1995 with two females obtained from the provinces of Gaziantep (Şehitkamil–Aktoprak) and Adana (Pozantı–Bürücek Plateau). These two localities are situated inside the part of the Mediterranean region along the Syrian border. Females of the species, whose original description was based on males, are described here for the first time. A map showing the collecting localities and photographs of the female specimens are given.

Bu calisma Izmir ilinde kiraz agaclarinda zararli Cicadivetta tibialis (Panzer, 1798) (Hemiptera: Cicadidae)’in yayilisi, dogadaki biyolojisi ve dogal dusmanlarini belirlemek amaciyla 2005-2008 yillarinda yurutulmustur. C.tibialis ’in Izmir ilindeki yayilisini belirlemek icin 17 ilcede bulunan 98 bahcede incelemeler yapilmistir. Kontrol edilen toplam 98 bahcenin %55.10’unda bu ture rastlanmistir. Kemalpasa/Yukarikizilca’daki bir bahcede zararlinin biyolojisi ile ilgili gozlem ve sayimlar yapilmis, 10 agacin altinda ergin cikisindan itibaren cikis yapan nimflere ait gomlekler haftalik araliklarla sayilmistir. Ayrica 10 agacin taci altina tahta kasalar yerlestirilerek, cikis yapan erginler sayilmistir.
