ABSTRACT: In this study, 473 adults from the family Coreidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) were collected from 48 different localities in Turkey. Additional material collected by Seidenstücker, Well schmied, Pfeiffer, Kulzer, Demelt and Schacht preserved in the Zoologische Staatssammlung München was examined. Thirty-one species in 17 genera were recorded. Of those, 30 are new records for specific areas of Turkey: Ceraleptus obtusus (Brullé, 1839) and Coriomeris hirticornis (Fabricius, 1794) are new records for the fauna of Turkish Thrace. Centrocoris degener (Puton, 1874), Ceraleptus sartus Kiritshenko, 1912, Coriomeris alpinus (Horváth, 1895), Coriomeris armeniacus Tshernova, 1978, Coriomeris validicornis Jakovlev, 1904, Gonocerus insidiator (Fabricius, 1787), Plinachtus imitator (Reuter, 1891), Prionotylus brevicornis (Mulsant & Rey, 1852), Spathocera dalmanii (Schilling, 1829), Spathocera laticornis (Schilling, 1829) and Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidemann, 1910 are rare species in Turkey. A checklist of Coreidae from Turkey is given to summarize the present state of knowledge.

Abstract Graphosoma inexpectatum Carapezza & Jindra, 2008 is described from Syria, the southern neighbor of Turkey, and is known only from the type locality. The first observation of the species in Turkey dates back to 1995 with two females obtained from the provinces of Gaziantep (Şehitkamil–Aktoprak) and Adana (Pozantı–Bürücek Plateau). These two localities are situated inside the part of the Mediterranean region along the Syrian border. Females of the species, whose original description was based on males, are described here for the first time. A map showing the collecting localities and photographs of the female specimens are given.

The Heteroptera (Hemiptera) fauna of the Palaearctic Region is represented by 9365 species belonging to 1632 genera of which 1349 species belonging to 469 genera are also recorded from Turkey. Type localities of 237 species are in Turkey of which 108 species and 4 subspecies are endemic for the Heteroptera fauna of Turkey, indicating the importance of the country as a refugium, genetic hotspot and dispersal centre during pleistocene glaciation. Some heteroptera are important in agriculture as predators used in biological control or as ectoparasits and pests on plants. Most heteropteran species are phytophagous feeding on leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds and shoots and cause economic damage. The suborder Heteroptera comprises aquatic, semi-aquatic and terrestrial species.

In this study, all the so far manuscripts on Tingidae fauna in Turkey has been revised and adults samples from the family Tingidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) were collected from different localities in Anatolia and Thrace of Turkey and an annotated checklist of Tingidae occurring is presented. As a results of this study, of Tingidae fauna from Turkey stated that it consists of 78 species has revealed that the number of species is 88 species and 1 subspecies. Nine species and subspecies, Catoplatus horvathi (Puton, 1878), Copium clavicorne clavicorne (Linnaeus, 1758), Derephysia foliacea foliacea (Fallén, 1807), Dictyla nassata (Puton, 1874), Dictyla rotundata (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1835), Dictyonota strichnocera Fieber, 1844, Lasiacantha capucina capucina (Germar, 1837) Stephanitis oschanini Vasiliev, 1935 and Tingis geniculata (Fieber, 1844) are new records for the fauna of Turkish Thrace (European part of Turkey) and of those, S. oschanini is recorded for the first time from Europe. The specimen Dictyonata astragali Štusák & Önder, 1982 type locality in Turkey has been mentioned second locality from Merzifon (Amasya).

A new species of the genus Isometopus, Isometopus anlasi sp. nov. (Heteroptera: Miridae) is described based on both male and female specimens. Habitus of male, female and last instar nymph, and parameres are illustrated. Data on biology and plant associations of the new species are also recorded. Additionally, an updated key for the European and Middle Eastern species of Isometopus is provided.

ABSTRACT: In this study, 110 adult Alydidae (Coreoidea) specimens belonging to 4 genera and 7 species were collected from 25 different localities in Anatolia in 2008–2009. These new records increased the number of Turkish Alydidae genera from 2 to 4 and species from 5 to 7. A key to the Alydidae genera of Turkey is provided. Megalotomus ornaticeps (Stål, 1858) and Namausus sordidatus (Stål, 1858) are recorded for the first time from Turkey, redescribed and their genitalia are illustrated.
