Detection of drowsy driving based on driving information.

Jeong Woo Lee; Shin-Kyung Lee; Cheol-Hong Kim; Kyong-Ho Kim; Oh-Cheon Kwon

A drowsy driving can bring severe traffic accidents. To prevent these accidents and give a warning to a driver, we analyzed the driving information collected from a vehicle simulator and made a model to detect drowsy driving based on vehicles behavior such as steering-related and lane-related information. It will be able to provide more effective service for drivers when applied to a vehicle augmented reality system.

A study of variable interval for WAVE multi-channel access

Shin-Kyung Lee; Hyun-Kyun Choi

WAVE is a main architecture for vehicular communication. A part of WAVE, 1609.4, describes multi-channel operations to support service data delivery. But it has fixed channel access interval that is not enough time to handle all generated packets in a congested vehicular density. The objective of this paper is to present a variable CCH interval for WAVE multi-channel access based on regional message traffic.

Development of the eco-driving and safe-driving components using vehicle information

Doo Seop Yun; Jeong-Woo Lee; Shin-Kyung Lee; Oh-Cheon Kwon

In this paper, we develop the components which can get the eco-driving and safe-driving information using various vehicle information as a detail development of Vehicle-IT Convergence Platform by Android platform based mobile devices (e.g., smartphone, tablet). These components use vehicle information (e.g., vehicle mileage information, sensor data) for analyzing the eco-driving and safe-driving information. The vehicle information is gotten through CAN (Controller Area Network) that is inner vehicle network protocol. The vehicle information which is collected by an OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) communication module is transferred to a mobile device through a bluetooth network. The vehicle drivers can change the wrong driving styles and behaviors for themselves as they check eco-driving and safe-driving information these components provide. Through reusing the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) provided by the eco-driving and safe-driving components, vehicle-IT related companies can develop various mobile service applications more easily and quickly.

Security Management System for Sensor Network

Shin-Kyung Lee; Namje Park; Dooho Choi

Wireless sensor network which has more weak security than general network is not considering management principles although it is used in a various part. This paper is concerned with the security management system for sensor network including security function. We design the sensor network management functions and implement the system to manage the security information for detecting an attack from the illegal sensor node.

A design and simulation of variable CCH interval based on message of V2X

Shin-Kyung Lee; Hyun-Kyun Choi

V-Link communication is responsible for high-capacity broadband communication between vehicles. It is allowed the MAC and network service architecture specified by the IEEE 1609.3/4 standards. Also, channels are assigned as the control channel (CCH) and service channel (SCH) which operate a multi-channel. In this paper, we suggested variable control channel interval, and simulated the access time in the range of road infrastructure based on traffic message demands.

Performance control mechanism for customer network management

Hyun-Chul Kang; Shin-Kyung Lee; Gil-Haeng Lee

The customer network management (CNM) provides the end customer with a window to view their entire enterprise network. We have proposed a server-based performance control mechanism using CORBA and the Web technologies. This paper proposes customer network management system (CNMS) architecture, and performance management on ATM services.
