Avaliação pós-ocupação em edifícios de apartamentos: a qualidade espacial e ambiental em Ribeirão Preto/SP

This article presents part of a larger study entitled VERTICAL DWELLING: EVALUATION OF SPATIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY OF APARTMENT BUILDINGS, whose main aim was to diagnose the quality of apartment buildings, designed for middle-class and built in Brazilian mid-sized cities (Ribeirão Preto/SP and Uberlândia/MG). This analysis was based mainly through the application of post-occupancy evaluation (POE) methods in relation to functional and environmental aspects of buildings in order to identify: ways of living and family types; quality, use and appropriation of private and collective spaces; adequacy of design solutions to the needs and wishes of local residents; and 1 Trabalho apresentado no IV SBQP 2015. During the development of this research, it was observed the important role that databases based on post-occupancy evaluation methods can play as to support the improvement of design quality of building production. This communication presents the theoretical basis of the research and the results related to studies developed in the city of Ribeirão Preto/SP in 2014.
