Privacy perceptions of online shopping behaviour amongst Malaysian Lazada online shoppers

Nowadays, internet is grow rapidly and leads to online shopping become popular and online shopping market is developing. However, the number of privacy risk while online shopping is rising gradually. The main aim of this study is to identify the relationship between privacy perception and online shopping behaviour amongst Lazada online shoppers. This study also intends to determine the difference of privacy perception based on demographic of Lazada online shoppers. In this study, Lazada online shoppers were chosen randomly in Johor Bahru area and the questionnaire were distributed to them. Besides, the data generated were analysed statistically by using SPSS software. The outcome of first objective was the privacy perception has no significant relationship with online shopping behaviour except sources risk and transaction security risk. Nevertheless, the outcome of second objective for first components was the Lazada online user’s gender has no significant difference with the privacy perception. The outcome of second objective for second components was the Lazada online user’s age has no significant difference with the privacy perception except for the affect-based trust perceptions. The outcome of second objective for third components was the Lazada online user’s highest education has no significant difference with the privacy perception except for the cognition-based trust. How to Establish Customers Satisfaction in Healthcare Industry

The focus of this study is to examine the importance and effectiveness of lean management and employee satisfaction towards customer satisfaction. The simplified and standardization of processes lean management able to eliminate unnecessary workload and increases employee satisfaction that lead to resulting positive customer satisfaction for organization. This study also designed to fulfil the previous research gap by analyze the capability of lean management and employee satisfaction towards establishing customer satisfaction in healthcare industry. Based on previous literature review, this study derived two proposition which are lean management is positively related to customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction is positively related to customers satisfaction.

Assessing Participation in Decision-Making among Employees in the Manufacturing Industry

Participation in decision-making (PDM) results in a positive attitude for workers toward their job and an increase in productivity and efficiency. Thus, the main objective of this paper is to determine the implementation of PDM among employees of the manufacturing industry. The second objective is to determine their PDM in terms of age, gender, qualification and length of employment. In this study, a total of 160 manufacturing employees were chosen randomly from manufacturing industries in Batu Pahat, Malaysia. Questionnaires were administered to the employees. Then, the data generated was analyzed statistically using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results revealed that the implementation of PDM remains in the infancy stage. Besides that, employee PDM in the manufacturing industry does not significantly differ in terms of gender, age, qualifications, or length of employment. This present research is vital to the manufacturing industry in order to gain insight on PDM among employees in the manufacturing field.

Halal Supply Chain Management Streamlined Practices: Issues and Challenges

The quickly developing worldwide halal in business sector has given a remarkable window of chance, which empowers Malaysia to the renowned halal centre in worldwide (known as Halal-hubs). Malaysia also has proactively taken a lead in halal activities, which is presently considered as the benchmark for a halal framework worldwide. Malaysia also set up the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) which driving a wide range of halal activities since the demand of halal food has increased significantly which is very crucial for a Muslim in ensuring its authenticity and integrity. Even in parallel to this developments, many studies has been conducted because there are many issues still occurs in the food industry. The issue of consumer awareness and understanding the halal principles, mixing of halal and non- halal products, halal certification and logo compliance with Shariah law and lack of regulation and enforcement need the serious attention by all parties along the supply chain. The challenges occur mainly in the halal food segregation and halal traceability of the products. The unit of analysis in this study different halal stakeholders group which are JAKIM, Halal Development Centre (HDC), Raw Material Manufacturers, Retailers and Government Agencies. This paper attempt discusses the issues and challenges occurs in the halal supply chain and faced by the practitioners as well as the relevant parties involved in the industry especially for food products manufacturers. The study would like to give a basic information about the issues and challenges in the contribution of Halal Supply Chain Management (HSCM) as well as for the future studies.

Emotional intelligence and job performance: a qualitative meta-analysis

These days, Emotional Intelligence (EI) is becoming increasingly well-known in organizations and is closely linked to job performance. The purpose of this qualitative meta-analysis is to determine the relationship between EI and job performance as well as the impact of EI on job performance. A total of 14 empirical studies are reviewed in this study. The overall results demonstrated that EI has a positive relationship with job performance. Besides that, most of the studies show great impact of EI on job performance. Several recommendations for further investigations are also proposed in this study.

Trustworthiness in buyer-supplier relation on supply chain collaboration among SMEs

Due to the growth of operational complexity and global competitiveness, firms have recognized the worth of establishing collaborative relationships with their supply chain partners. Research found that the level of collaboration in Malaysian SMEs manufacturers is too low to gain any relational advantage from collaborative relationships in supply chain. This research is sought to review the literature to determine the factors that create trustworthiness in buyer-supplier relation on supply chain collaboration among SMEs manufacturers. According to past researches, five behavioral signals are determined to be contributing to creating trustworthiness in supply chain collaboration. They are performance to promise signals, professional relationship signals, openness signals, benevolent collaboration signals and empathy signals. This conceptual paper reveals the factors that contribute in creating trustworthiness among Malaysian SMEs manufacturers. This research provides practical implications to the Malaysian SMEs in understanding how trust-building can be produced and enhanced in developing supply chain collaborative relationships.

Chapter 14 Conceptualizing urban eco-village in Kampong Bahru

Kampong Bahru is located at the heart of the “golden triangle” of Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. The Settlement was established in 1899 as a result of the expressed desire of the Resident General and the British Resident of Selangor. Initially its objectives were: to educate the children of Malays, to take part in the administration, and to enable them to reap some of the advantages of the prosperity. The new settlement is known as Kampong Bahru (New Village). This chapter describes new innovative ways to revitalize community ties in the urban village context of Kampong Bahru. The concept of eco-communities is analyzed and specific suggested actions are presented.
