For many years, robots appear in most fields (industrial, medical, education and military). Recently, the success in computer technology has advanced the the knowledge in creating intelligent robots. The cloud computing has potential to provide significant benefits to robots and automation systems. It enables a remotely processing with an unlimited access to dynamic global datasets and huge amount of computing and networking resources. In this paper, we will propose a new cloud robotics architecture where robots can be provided as a service easily, efficiently and cheaply. we will define a new kind of layer which is the Virtual robot Layer compared with classical cloud computing architecture. This layer consists of two entities : the Robot Management System and the Virtual Robot System.

Since a few years, the development of robots introduced the Cloud Computing paradigm in robotics field as “Cloud Robotics” generation. This new concept allows robots to outsource computing capabilities over the Cloud, whither the Computing involves extra power requirements that could reduce the duration of the process. In this paper, we outline a new Cloud Robotics architecture for NAO robots. Based on Robot Operating System (ROS) middleware, this approach integrates Web services technologies in a Cloud Computing environment, in order to enable Nao robots to consume their packages as an on-demand solution (as a service).

The web services discovery process in mobile ad hoc networks is considered as a very difficult challenge due to the continuous change in the topology of the network and also the lack of a fixed central directory for publishing web services. Several approaches have been proposed, all these solutions are based on either keywords or identifiers representing the service to be searched or by using a specific scenario of discovery, all by trying to respect the constraints of ad hoc networks such as energy, bandwidth, throughput, etc. In this paper, we will present a new web services discovery protocol based on the dissemination of semantic web services information in routing process using the cross-layer routing techniques. We will also present the simulation results obtained where we have noticed a significant optimisation of the energy consumption level and of the average throughput using the DISCOVERY_DIAMETER parameter that we have proposed to limit the area of discovery in the network.
