The experiment was conducted to study the effect of light intensity and leaf trimming on the plant growth and tuber yield of daun dewa and get the best interaction between light intensity and leaf trimming on the plant growth and tuber yield of daun dewa. The experiment was conducted at the Experimental Field of Faculty of Agriculture Gadjah Mada University, in Banguntapan, Yogyakarta, from August to December 2011. The experiment was arranged in split plot randomized block design with three replications as blocks. The main plot is light intensity i.e.: 4 weeks without shade that followed 11 weeks with 50% shade, 75% light intensity, and 50% light intensity. The sub plot is no trimming, 25% leaves trimming of the total leaves, and 50% leaves trimming of the total leaves. The results showed there was no interaction between light intensity and on all observation variables. 50% light intensity increase the number of tillers and 75% light intensity increase specific leaf weight of daun dewa. 25% leaves trimming increase daun dewa root and shoot ratio. There are no significant effect on yield of tuber daun dewa at different light intensity and also leaves trimming.
