Mobile web browsing services that bring the full PC browsing experience to customer`s mobile handset have been emerged. This study is to investigate the intention to use mobile web browsing based on Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) which has been widely used to explain and predict the IT acceptance and incorporated with self-efficacy which was identified as an important determinant of user`s new technology adoption in recent literature on technology acceptance. Specifically, from a theoretical perspective, this study not only clarifies mobile self-efficacy, but also develops an instrument to measure the concept of mobile self-efficacy. The results indicate that both computer self-efficacy and mobile self-efficacy directly influence perceived ease of use, and that perceived ease of use enhance perceived usefulness. And the findings indicate that perceived ease of use and usefulness have direct effects on attitude and then it is positively associated with intention to use mobile web browsing. Therefore, the findings imply that mobile self-efficacy can be employed as an important variable in examining user`s intention for various mobile services to come in future.

Supply chain (SC) strategies will influence corporate performance and customer satisfaction. However, few empirical research has investigated the impact of the gap between prescriptive and current strategy on customer satisfaction. Based on the profile analysis with data from 31 products, the results of this study show the significant relationship between customer satisfaction and the fit between SC context and speculation-postponement strategies. The results imply that different SC strategies should be applied in accordance with product attributes and supply environments.

In today`s e-business environment, it is important to make decisions cooperatively between companies on a supply chain for their business success. This research analyzes empirically the influences of organizational factors on joint decision making and the ones of the joint decision making on business performance. We collected 188 corporate-level data through a Web survey and tested them statistically through PLS method based on a structured equation modeling. The results showed that (i) partner`s knowledge creation capabilities, inter-organizational process modularity, and inter-organizational trust had direct effects on joint decision making, (ii) joint decision making and electronic business interfaces bad direct impacts on business performance. Contrary to our expectation, however, the moderating effects of electronic business interfaces between corporations on the relationship between joint decision making and business performance was not significant. On the basis of these results, we discussed theoretical and managerial implications of the findings. The results are expected to provide useful perspectives when companies establish strategies to improve capabilities of cooperative decision making and business performance.

The growth of interests in communities of practice is a sign of a paradigm shift in knowledge management. This paper intends to integrate the motivational factors influencing participation in communities of practice and its impacts on firm performance. We identify three determinants affecting participation in communities of practice, and argue that it leads to knowledge exchange, operational performance, and firm performance. The data required for this field study was collected from 122 firms headquartered in Korea. Additional theoretical and practical implications of these findings are also discussed in the paper.

Linking between a virtual space and a physical space, ubiquitous computing is expected to create new business value. So far, however, there is no broadly accepted methodology to develop the services based on ubiquitous computing technology. Hence, this study aims to seek a systematic methodology for developing new services based on the concept of business model and to apply this in the areas of waste management practices. In addition, based on the evaluation of u-business services in waste management domain, killer services were selected, and then linked with the latest ubiquitous computing technologies. The results of this study are to be applicable to an environment friendly ubiquitous service model of u-City.

Investigating inter-organizational cooperation from the perspectives of both partners is important especially when there are interdependencies between the channel partners. The study attempts to accommodate the perspectives of both partners involved in a buyer-supplier relationship and if differences exist between these perspectives, then to understand why these differences exist. The data for this study were collected from buyers responsible for supplier relationships in a Korean telecommunication service provider and from their partners. The results show that switching costs and inter-organizational trust are both significant antecedents of cooperation from the perspective of the buyers, while not significant for the suppliers. Also, the results indicate that technological uncertainty and the fairness of the relationship are significant antecedents from the perspective of the suppliers, and these are not significant for the buyers. In both sample sets, goal consistency significantly affects inter-firm cooperation. The article discusses other findings with important theoretical and practical implications.
