(E)-1,2-Bis(3,4-dihydro-1-methoxynaphthalen-2-yl)ethylene

In the structure of the title compound, C 24 H 24 O 2 , one of the two types of six-membered rings is planar and the other is in a skew-boat conformation. The ethylene C=C bond distance is 1.345 (3) A. The substituents at the ethylene are in an E configuration. The crystal structure consists of discrete molecules lying about inversion centres, held together by van der Waals contacts.

Bis[4-(2-methoxycarbonyl-5-thienyl)]phenyl ether

The title compound, C 24 H 18 O 5 S 2 , possesses crystallographic C2 symmetry. The thienyl ring adopts a planar conformation. The methoxycarbonyl group is twisted 9.7 (1)° out of plane of its parent thienyl ring.

7,8,10,11,12,13-Hexahydro-4-methylnaphtho[2,3-c]acridine

In the title molecule, C 22 H 21 N, one of the two cyclohexane rings shows conformational disorder, with both major and minor conformers in half-chair conformations ; the other cyclohexane ring adopts a conformation intermediate between sofa and half-chair.

(E)-1,2-Bis(2-chlorocyclopentenyl)ethene

In the title compound, C12H14Cl2, the C═C double bond exists in a E configuration. The cyclopentenyl ring adopts a flattened envelope conformation. In the solid state the molecules are stacked along the a axis.
