Adoption of Agro-forestry Patterns and Crop Systems Around Register 19 Forest Park, Lampung Province, Indonesia

To return the ecological function of Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park, it must be involved the role of buffer zone communities living around the forest by optimizing the cultivated land with applying agro-forestry based on socioeconomic conditions in the community, such as community preferences and adoption of agro-forestry patterns. Under these conditions it is necessary to hold a study concerning to the level of community preference to the type of plants and the level of adoption, as well as the NPV analysis of the 3 patterns of agro-forestry which are applied by the majority of community around the forest park. Results of the study revealed that there were 3 dominant plant types preferred by the community in the forest park, namely: coffee (30.8%), cacao (35.8%), and rubber (17.4%). Based on these crops, there were 3 agro-forestry patterns practiced by the majority of community in their cultivated land. They were: (1) coffee-cacao-wooden plants, and fruits (47%), (2) rubber-coffee-wooden plants, and fruit (35%), and (3) rubber-cacao-wooden plants, and fruit (18%). The highest personal and social NPVs obtained in the agro-forestry pattern of rubber-coffee-wooded plants, and fruits were IDR4.589.627.36 and IDR6.454.806.01, respectively. To ensure the sustainability of the program, the development of communities living around the forest together with a program of community empowerment in the block of utilization and social forestry in the forest park are recommended to continue, based on the Regional Regulation (PerDa) Number. 3/2012.

Peran Wanita Pedesaan Hutan dalam Peningkatan Pendapatan Rumah Tangga

The role of women in managing natural resources is needed to help their husband to increase the economy level of the family. Besides a role to manage the household, women also have a task to get income , and it called double-role in the family. The role of women in work productively hold s an effect in fulfilling household needs. This research aims to identify the productive women activities and women role agains t increasing of the family income in Sidodadi V illage Teluk Pandan Sub District Pesawaran District in Lampung Province . The samples taken using cluster and purposive sample methods were 73 samples. Data analysis method used in this research was qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The result showed that the Sidodadi productive women activities to increase the family income were the trader, farmer, agricultural laborer and officer. Trade was a productive activity of women who have the highest income contribution. The c ontribution of women towards the total income of the family was low (30%), so the role of women in econom ic activities. Keywords: women role, productive activities, income, household

Efisiensi Pemasaran Durian (Durio Zibethinus) di Desa Wisata Durian Kelurahan Sumber Agung

Regional Forestry Office of Lampung Province has declared Sumber Agung Village as a Durian Tourism Village. In order to encourage the durian tourism village as a center of durian marketing , it is necessary to conduct a research which aim to know the efficiency of durian marketing to support the durian tourism village. The analys i s used in this study were including the analysis of marketing channels, market structure, market behavior and marketing margin. The research showed that there were 4 durian marketing channels in Sumber Agung Village and the most efficient channel was from farmer through retailer and to final consume r . According to the market structure, market behavior and uneven margin distribution, the durian marketing has not been efficient and tends to be oligopsony. Partisipasi Kelompok Wanita Cinta Bahari dalam Upaya Konservasi Hutan Mangrove

Most area of Margasari village was mangrove forest s . T herefore, Cinta Bahari Women’s Group, make mangrove forests as a source of life and their economic income. Cinta Bahari Women’s Group was a group of women who always be active in the processing and the utilization of non-timber mangrove forest products namely jeruju leaf (Acanthus Ilicifolius) and pedada fruit (Sonneratia Caseolaris) to serve as processed food ingredients. The purpose of this research was to identify the activities which were undertaken by cinta bahari women’s group of mangrove forest conservation. This research was conducted at Lampung Mangrove Center, Margasari Village, Labuhan Maringgai District, East Lampung regency by using purposive sampling method. The number of respondents was 41 people. Based on the result of research, the aspect of protection in the effort of conservation of mangrove forest was categorized good with percentage of 88% which was supported by the activities of plant protection jeruju (Acanthus ilicifolius) and fruit plants pedada (Sonneratia caseolaris) from disturbance of animals and human disturbance; preservation aspect was categorized good with percentage equal to 54% which was supported by the stitching and nursery activities of mangrove plants; utilization aspect wa s categorized good with percentage equal to 58% which was supported by the utilization of mangrove forests as processed foods, beverages and medicines.
