Related Factors to the Performance of Cadres of Larva Monitoring and Health Workers in the Control of Dengue High Fever (DHF) in Palopo

This research aims to analyze factors that are related to the performance of mosquito larvae observer cadres in controlling dengue in Palopo city. The type of this study was observational research with cross sectional design. The study was conducted in 5 areas of public health centers in Palopo city which have mosquito larvae observes. There are 50 populations collected with total sampling and data were collected using interview and questionnaires. The data analysis used chi-square test and logistic regression. The result indicate that the majority of respondents aged 28-32 years (30%) educated Senior High School or the same level (62.0%), married status (90.0%), length of service <3 years and >3 years is the same amount (50%) and all of them live in work site (100%). The result of chi square test indicates that the existence of relationship between knowledge (p=0.002), skill (p=0.016), social condition of work environment (p=0.002) and individual need (p=0.006) with performance of mosquito larvae observer in dengue control. The result of dominant variable analysis by logistic regression test with backward method indicate that the most significant variable having connection with mosquito larvae observer in controlling dengue are the factor of skill (p=0.006; Exp (B) = 8.443) and then social condition factor (p= 0.008; Exp (B) = 7.455.

The Quality of Life (QoL) of Young Adult Hypertension Patients Undergoing Treatment in Hospitals of Makassar City

The aim of the research was to find out the risks of physical activities, obesity, smoking habit, type D personality, anger expression, family support and treatment obedience on the quality of life of young adult hypertension patients in several hospitals of Makassar City. The research was a cohort retrospective study conducted in Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Public Hospital, Pelamonia Hospital Level II, Labuang Baji Regional Public Hospital, and Ibnu Sina Hospital. The sample was selected using consecutive sampling technique consisting of 73 people. The results of the research indicate that the significant risking factor affecting the quality of life of young adult hypertension patients are physical activities (RR = 2.349; 95% CI: 1.382-3.991), obesity (RR = 1.942; 95% CI: 1.222-3.055), type D personality (RR = 2.782; 95% CI: 1.647-4.699), anger in (RR = 2.464; 95% CI: 1.382-4.395), anger control (RR = 1.920; 95% CI: 1.203-3.063), family support (RR = 2.920; 95% CI: 1.773-4.809) and treatment obedience (RR = 4.047; 95% CI: 1.770-9.249), while the insignificant risking factors are anger out (RR = 1.226;95% CI: 0.644-2.333) and smoking habit (RR = 1.433; 95% CI: 0.883-2.326). The result of logistic regression analysis indicates that obesity is the most risking factor to the quality of life of young adult hypertension patients with RR 5.292 (95% CI: 1.117-23.804).

Drug Adherence with Hypertension Status at the Bajoe Community Health Centre of Bone Regency in 2016

This study aimed to understand the relation between compliance of taking medicine and the hypertension status in Bajoe community health centre of bone regency. The study was observational analytical and used cross sectional study design. Population of the research was all hypertension patients in working area in Bajoe Community health center of bone regency in 2015. purposive sampling technique was utilized and 310 respondents were chosen as primary hypertension patients that consume anti hypertension medicine Data were analyzed through a SPSS program with chi square and logistic regression test. Further, stratification analysis to evaluate the relationship between the main independent variable and dependent variable was standardized by each covariate variables potential confounder (age, sex, family history, salty food intake, smoking habit, physical activity and obesity). The research result indicated that more hypertension suffered from respondents who were not compliant in taking medicine (66.7%). Incompliance in taking medicine who experienced hypertension was found mostly on elderly (73.1%), females were the same as males (66.7%), family history (73.7%), consuming salty food (67.1%), smoking (67.4%), tendency not to participate in physical activity (69.6%) and obesity (89.2%) with p value <0.05. This study concluded that there is relationship between compliance in taking medicine with hypertension status after been controlled by age, sex, family history, salty food intake, smoking habit, physical activity and obesity, but the variables is not cofounder.

THE EFFECT OF MARKETING MIXTURE ON PATIENTS LOYALTY IN INPATIENT ROOM OF HAJI REGIONAL PUBLIC HOSPITAL, MAKASSAR IN 2017

Hospitals compete with each other in providing health services to the community. The aim of the research was to determine the factors affecting marketing mixture on patientss’ loyalty in inpatient room of haji Regional Public Hospital Makassar. The research was an analitic survey with cross sectional study approach. The populations were all patients in inpatient room of Haji Regional Public Hospital, Makassar. The sample consisted of 208 patients selected using purposive samling method. The data were analyzed using chi square multiple logistic regression analyses. The result of the research indicate that there is an effect of product (p=0.00), place (p=0.00), price (p=0.00), promotion (p=0.006), people (p=0.001), customer service (p=0.00), and performance (p=0.00) variables. There is no effect of professional variable (p=0.124) and process (p=0.485). The result of multiple logistic regression test indicates that product is the most influencing variable on patients’ loyalty in inpatient room of Haji Regional Public Hospital, Makassar.
