Modelling of power supplies reliability in aspect of their technical and functional state

T. Dąbrowski; Jerzy Chmiel; Adam Rosiński

Abstract The article presents issues related to the modeling of reliability of power supply in terms of their technical and functional condition. There are designated relations allowing to determine the probability of staying the power supply in the state: full suitability, incomplete suitability and unsuitability. There is also examined the impact of time restore of the state of full suitability for the value of the probability of staying the power supply in the state of incomplete suitability.

Teaching methodology of the diagnosing process on the example of the fire alarm system

Jacek Paś; T. Dąbrowski; M. Wiśnios

Abstract The article presents a method of teaching the process of diagnosing the technical and functional condition of the fire alarm system (SSP). The fire alarm system’s laboratory model is a representation of a real fire alarm system. The lecturer has the opportunity to inflict several different independent damage. The aim of the laboratory exercise is to familiarize students with the methodology and structure of the fire alarm system diagnosing process.

Reliability analysis of radioamateur communication

Tomasz Wawer; T. Dąbrowski; M. Bednarek

Abstract The following article describes diagnostic and reliability aspects of amateur radio communications. The intention of precise measuring of quality and accuracy of every contact was present in ham radio from very beginning. The reports were sent and they are still used today, in many variants. In time, the tools to measure ionosphere state and propagation conditions emerged. They are fundamental for communication, especially long distance ones. The article concentrates on description of digital amateur mode, JT9. This mode is very effective, enables worldwide reach and requires simple tools.

Selected Aspects of the Security of the Process Data Transmission in the Distributed Control System

M. Bednarek; T. Dąbrowski; Tomasz Wawer

Abstract Communication between the process stations of the distributed control system is carried out. By the supervision and therapeutic systems of the stations communication process diagnosis is performed. Supervision and therapeutic systems are responsible for the security of transmitted data. The security is considered in this article mainly in the aspect of resistance to external destructive factors on the data transmission process. It is assumed that the transmission security can be provided by mechanisms protecting the integrity of the transmitted data. Correctness of the data is controlled by using one-way hash function calculated on the basis of the transmitted value variable and also is attached to the transmitted data. This allows to maintain the integrity of the transmitted process data. A solutions using one-way hash function to protection of the transmission before changing message contents (caused by eg. intruder interference) are proposed in the article.

Review of Selected Techniques and Measures Affecting the Reliability of Face Image Acquisition Systems / Przegląd Wybranych Technik I Środków Wpływających Na Niezawodność Działania Systemów Akwizycji Obrazu Twarzy

M. Wiśnios; T. Dąbrowski

Abstract The theme of the publication is to review techniques and measures affecting the reliability of the process of image acquisition face. This issue is closely linked to the biometric identification based on facial image. The focus here in particular on factors external / environmental, not taking into account the quality of this same algorithms. Tests were carried out both on a database built on the model of the face as well as on the basis of the actual images. The object of the research being predestined is not only for stationary applications, but can also be used in mobile objects Streszczenie Tematem opracowania jest przegląd technik i środków wpływających na niezawodność procesu akwizycji obrazu twarzy.
