Hospitality has been incorporated by the hotel industry and has become a practice used by hotels to provide a differentiated service. Thus, the overall objective of this research is to analyze a training policy carried out by hotels in the capital for the development of hospitality. Therefore, the basic principles such as the type, stages, risks and contributions of training are addressed as well as the question of hospitality and its relevance in the hotel environment. Regarding the methodology, a qualitative approach has been used with a deductive and descriptive method. therefore, the study presents an interpretive view of the data. Among the main findings of the study, it was observed that the hotels mostly used integration, behavioural and technical training practices. The results also reveal that the training of managers highlights the importance given to the good treatment and welcoming of guests. Regarding the managers’ knowledge about the concept of hospitality, it was found that they related it to the act of receiving or welcoming. Therefore, it may be concluded that the training implemented by the hotels taking part in the survey contributed to the development of hospitality, resulting in the improvement of the reception given to the guests and, consequently, consolidating the business ventures in the hotel scenario in Paraiba.

This study deals with the learning process of a person who experienced experiences in a marginal organization, those who do not fit the business context. In this case, the aim is to understand the experiences lived by a former detainee in light of the theory of transformative learning developed by Jack Mezirow. It addresses the two central conceptual axes for conducting the research, which are transformative learning and experiences. From the experiential accounts of the interviewed individual is able to reflect on how it was possible to transform your world view. Thus, the study is characterized by a qualitative approach and exploratory nature through interpretive and comprehensive analysis of the accounts. To this end, the discussion of the results is structured in three dimensions: perspectives of meaning, domains of learning and types of reflection. So, we conclude that the experiences lived by former detainee demonstrates an inspiring transformations in their learning.

O contexto educacional nem sempre favorece o amadurecimento do aluno adulto e ainda se percebe a falta de capacidade deles em direcionar seu proprio aprendizado. Tais deficiencias sao acentuadas pela aplicacao de uma estrutura curricular rigida e funcionalista. Este trabalho busca analisar a percepcao de discentes do curso de Administracao da Universidade Federal da Paraiba sobre os vinculos entre teoria e pratica a partir de reflexoes sobre a estrutura curricular do curso. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa basica por meio da aplicacao de entrevistas com oito estudantes concluintes do curso, os quais ja haviam cursado as disciplinas de formacao profissional e tambem haviam desenvolvido atividades de estagio ou participado de atividades extracurriculares como monitoria, iniciacao cientifica ou consultoria junior, o que poderia desenvolver o pensamento reflexivo a partir do vinculo interdisciplinar e possibilitaria vinculo da teoria discutida por meio das disciplinas curriculares com a pratica. Os dados foram analisados a partir de uma analise compreensiva interpretativa. Apos analise, conclui-se que alguns fatores limitam as mudancas no curriculo, mas salientam a necessidade de reorganizar a estrutura curricular do curso, considerando o olhar do aluno, para promover uma melhor integracao e articular a teoria com a pratica, por meio de processos de aprendizagem orientados para a acao e o desenvolvimento de competencias essenciais para formacao profissional do aluno.
