The audi R8

In the new R8 high-performance sports car from Audi, a high-revving V8 mid-engine, an aluminium space frame body, four-wheel drive and a precision suspension are combined to form a car with a highly dynamic performance. At the same time, the development objectives regarding day-to-day driving and a high level of travelling comfort have been achieved. The R8 is hand-built and features several innovations — for example, the world’s first series-production all-LED headlight technology. This article describes the whole vehicle, with special focus on the body, the interior, the electrics/electronics and the suspension.
