The Family Health Program (FHP) arises as a new strategy for health care and reorganization of the care model. Based on these presuppositions, this article aims to reflect on the potentialities and contradictions of the FHP in the care model change process. The study adopts a descriptive-reflexive methodology and presents two themes, based on literature: historical revision of health policies in Brazil and FHP and the care model change process. The analysis made it possible to perceive work in teams and with families as a progress in the FHP. However, there is a need for a broader perspective in the formation of professionals to work with the new proposal, as well as to implant the teams.

Duas estratégias e desafios comuns: a reabilitação psicossocial e a saúde da família

Mércia Zeviani Brêda; Walisete de Almeida Godinho Rosa; Maria Alice Ornellas Pereira; Maria Cecília Morais Scatena

This study aims to discuss the strategies used by the Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Family Health Programs, at a time when a close link is established between psychiatric and basic care. We depart from our own experience in the field and from a literature review, identifying the interfaces and challenges to be overcome with a view to transforming these social contexts into spaces for affective and material exchanges and for more creative and flexible knowledge and practices. This study aims to discuss the strategies used by the Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Family Health Programs, at a time when a close link is established between psychiatric and basic care.

The Family Health Program (FHP) arises as a new strategy for primary and secondary health services, including mental health. Based on these presuppositions, the objectives of this article are the following: get to know the perception of the nurses about FHP, identify difficulties pertinent to the promotion of mental health, and investigate the contribution of the psychiatric nursing within the FHP. Five nurses were interviewed that work on the FHP teams in the city of Passos-MG and the data was submitted and later on the content of the interviews was analyzed. The discussions revealed the need for qualification of the professionals to work as a team and with the family, while also showing up the need to make the help more humane, seen in this context as a pre-established activity without a greater involvement between team/community. Descriptors: family health program; nursing; mental health Title: The contribution of mental health for the development of the FHPThe Family Health Program (FHP) arises as a new strategy for primary and secondary health services, including mental health.
