A formação de professores e as teorias do saber docente: contextos, dúvidas e desafios

The purpose of the present text is to investigate how the studies related to teacher knowledge were received within the field of teacher education in Brazil. The main issue here is to understand a bit further, from a dialogue with literature and recent studies, how the scholars of teacher education have perceived the arrival of these new ways of seeing, appreciating and investigating the work of the teacher. The text points out the lack of consensus among the authors selected for the study, and that their arguments can be seen in the context of enunciations that underlie the discussions within the field of teacher education. Such statements exhibit at least three dimensions: epistemological, political, and professional. The first refers to the controversies around the issue of the constitution of the concept of reflective teacher and its philosophical foundations. The second is related to the political meanings and unfolding of the statements. The third dimension is expressed in their potential consequences for the teaching profession. The article concludes by indicating the need to pay attention to three issues in the debates about teacher knowledge and education in Brazil: the risk of, contradictorily, producing an even more alienated teacher; the problem of the quality of the debate in the educational field and, lastly, the importance of establishing a better relationship between the national theoretical tradition and the international literature.

Gestão escolar e o trabalho dos educadores: da estreiteza das políticas à complexidade do trabalho humano

O objetivo do artigo e efetuar a critica de alguns idearios que cercam as nocoes de gerir e de trabalhar, bem como evidenciar a amplitude e a complexidade dos aspectos que envolvem o trabalho humano. Trata-se de uma elaboracao de natureza teorica e que se vale de estudos no campo da educacao, mas, tambem, de estudos desenvolvidos no campo da sociologia do trabalho, da psicologia do trabalho e da ergonomia. As conclusoes apontam que uma racionalidade redutora das complexidades presentes nas situacoes de trabalho comumente se apresenta nas acoes da gestao, comprometendo a finalidade social das instituicoes e repercutindo sobre os trabalhadores e trabalhadoras.

ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT: STRENGTH AND WEAKNESS OF A MINDSET IN CONTEMPORARY EDUCATIONAL POLICIES

The aim of this paper is to investigate critically the project work relating to pedagogical measures present in some of the contemporary educational policies, as well as the scope of managerial rationality that accompanies it, which both confront the complexity of human labor. It is a text of a theoretical nature. It was developed from the crossing of two major areas: the study and research in education and research and studies in the sciences of labor. The first section of the text seeks to characterize the sources and highlight the scope of the “new” management education. In the second section the idea is to show the limits and impasses of education-oriented school managerial rationality. In the third section, the purpose is to discuss the dynamics of work situations, the complexity of human activity and the challenges that certain developments in the world of contemporary work pose for any attempt to impose a work measurement. The article concludes with a brief summary of the issues addressed.

Este es un estudio teorico que utiliza las aportaciones de los estudios en educacion y las disciplinas que tienen el trabajo como un objeto de estudio, especialmente las contribuciones de la ergonomia. El articulo se divide en cuatro apartados, distribuidos em la siguiente en la secuencia: un informe de una realidad concreta, el caso de las escuelas publicas de Sao Paulo, la reflexion sobre la circulacion de herramientas de gestion desde el sector privado al sector publico, las contradicciones y los limites de dichas herramientas de gestion - y cuales son las contradicciones y los limites - ante la complejidad del trabajo humano. Se concluye con un breve resumen de los temas, que apunta hacia la necesidad de ubicar el trabajo, sus condiciones y su contenido en el centro de la discusion.
