The application of ontology in information integration field is now receiving more and more concern. This article presents a management method for furniture design knowledge and cases based on knowledge ontology. The method includes three phases of conceptualization, knowledge enquiry and reuse. After the analysis of basic concept and characteristic of furniture design knowledge, the knowledge ontology frame and its reasoning algorithm is established first, it can help furniture designers to search for furniture design knowledge and cases, thus achieves the aim of design knowledge reuse. And then, a knowledge management system of furniture design is developed to explain and validate the method. It can greatly promote the efficiency and innovation of furniture designers, and new designers can also learn explicit and implicit knowledge from design cases.

Through related factors comparison of low-carbon interior design and traditional method, low-carbon materials for the interior design is developed. In this paper, charts on the low-carbon design and the traditional design from the concept, model, method, form, content, life cycle and other related factors, material selection as well as light, water, electricity, environmental systems, etc. can be done in-depth research. The results show that low-carbon technology in all aspects of interior design is much better than the traditional design. Finally, we suggest a low carbon interior design, which may utilize some advanced technology and develop low carbon materials being a long-term and sophisticated systematic project. Also, further discovering this kind of design is the direction of future development and necessities of sustainable development.

Abstract:A review on methods for controlling the dimensional stability of particleboards. a second pressing at the same temperature as the first Pressing may possibly have three main effects on PF resin bonded particleboard durability: (a) the effect of mechano-sorptive behaviour; (b) the effect of softening of cell wall polymers; (c) the improvement of cure of PF resins. Effects (a) and (b) may accelerate the removal of the recoverable part of residual compressive strain replace of it with the development of the viscous component, thus, relax the compressive stresses.

A method of alkaline pretreatment of particles was designed to produce three types of chips. The pretreatmentet of particles in 1% water solution of NaOH for 30 minutes offered a possibility of producing PF bonded particleboards with minimal irrecoverable swell and a reduction in thickness swelling. The method used in this work could be used to produce more stable PF particeboard.

It is a trend for interior design to use the technique of low carbon interior design, which has great significance for mankind development. This paper will study the low carbon interior design framework system considering human being, nature resource, low carbon material and less pollution, and then design the frame system, which has the characters of low pollution and low emission, based on low carbon interior design. This study will offer theoretical basis for interior design of low carbon development.

Diesel powered vehicles produce a considerable amount of particulate laden exhaust gases, which is thought to be the main source of air pollution and endanger human health. The diesel particulate filter (DPF) is one of the leading technologies for reducing diesel PM(particulate material). In this paper, utilizing carbonized micro wood fiber (CMWF) as filter material of DPF is presented, meanwhile, a detachable DPF and CMWF DPF test device for exhaust resistance characteristics is developed. As shown by the test, the pressure drop of the DPF specimens all can meet the basic demand of DPF and when the DPF is designed, the appropriate filter pore size should be selected carefully and the filter media with larger pore diameter and longer axial length should be considered preferentially.

Airborne particulate matter is known for its environmental impact and is suspected of causing adverse health effects. Especially the role of ultra fine particles smaller than 0.1 mm, which amongst others is emitted by diesel engines, is the subject of current health related discussions. In order to solve this problem, many filtration methods have been researched, while so far the results are unsatisfactory. In this paper, a method of utilizing the carbonized micro-wood fiber (CMWF) as the filter material is presented and a corresponding mathematic model is built for the first time. Furthermore, the inertial coefficient and permeability of CMWF DPF are deduced. Theory and test prove that the theory method can be consistent with the test very well and CMWF DPF is very suitable for diesel exhaust gas purification.

The Diesel powered vehicles produce a considerable amount of particulate laden exhaust gases, which is thought to be the main source of air pollution and also cause lung cancer. The diesel particulate filter (DPF) is one of the leading technologies for reducing diesel particulate matter (PM). In this paper, the method of utilizing micro-length fiber carbonized wood (MLFCW) as filter material of DPF is presented for the first time. Theory and test prove that the filter efficiency of the MLFCW DPF is high, the exhaust back pressure low and service life long, which can successively open up a new direction for reducing diesel PM.

The large amount of particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) in diesel exhaust have brought critical environmental and health issues, resulting in the implementation of limits for diesel exhaust PM and NOx emissions in some countries. The diesel particulate filter (DPF) is one of the leading technologies for reducing diesel PM. In this paper, the method of utilizing micro-length fiber carbonized wood (MLFCW) as filter material of DPF is presented and a corresponding mathematic model is built for the first time. Theory and test prove that the filter efficiency of the MLFCW DPF is high, the exhaust pressure drop gradient low and service life long, which can successively open up a new direction for reducing diesel PM.

Taking medium density fiberboards (MDF) as samples, the feasibility of the applications of wavelet analysis in a nondestructive test is discussed in this paper. The main results are as follows: the modulus of elasticity of longitudinal resonance, measured by wavelet analysis, can replace the conventional static modulus of elasticity. Their correlation coefficient is significant (p < 0.01). The defect of samples can be judged by wavelet analysis, which is superior because it is a nondestructive test.
