Abstract Stepwise Stille coupling reaction of 1,1′-bis(tributylstannyl)ferrocene with different heterocyclic bromides was achieved in the presence of Pd-complex catalyst via two steps to afford unsymmetrical 1,1′-disubstituted heteroarylferrocene compounds.

Abstract A palladium-catalyzed and stereoselective Heck-type reaction between the iodine heterocycle, 3,7-bis( N , N -dimethylamino)-10 H -dibenz[ b , e ]iodinium iodide and α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds wasaccomplished at mild temperature in good yields.

Abstract Polyfunctional molecules are prepared by a modified stereoselective Heck-type cross-coupling reaction between iodine heterocyclic compounds and olefins in DMF using Pd(OAc) 2 as a catalyst in the presence of bases (Na 2 CO 3 or K 2 CO 3 ). This coupling reaction proceeds smoothly at room temperature and gave coupling products in high yields.

Abstract A ligand, 1,1′‐diacetylferrocene bis‐2‐furoylhydrazone (H2Bafh), and its lanthanide [Ln(III)] complexes, [Ln(H2Bafh)3] · (ClO4)3 · nH2O [complexes A: Ln = La(III), Gd(III), Tm(III), Yb(III)], and [Ln(H2Bafh)Cl2] · Cl · nH2O [complexes B: Ln = Y(III), La(III), Nd(III), Gd(III), Tm(III)] were prepared and characterized by microanalyses, IR, 1H NMR, and UV‐VIS spectra, molar conductivity, and TGA analyses.

Abstract A new method for preparing 1′,1‴-disubstituted heterocyclylbiferrocene derivatives via stepwise Stille coupling reaction of 1,1′-bis(tributylstannyl)ferrocene with heterocyclic bromides and subsequent Cu-catalyzed homocoupling reaction is established.

Seven new organotin‐iron trinuclear complexes have been prepared by the reaction of potassium xanthate or potassium dithiocarbamate with dichlorobis(dicarbonyl‐η5‐cyclopentadienyliron)tin. All of the proposed complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR and 1H NMR. It is shown that potassium xanthate or potassium dithiocarbamate (KCS2Y) coordinate to the tin atom in monodentate fashion.

Some new ethynyl ketones containing ferrocenyl moieties were prepared conveniently by coupling ferrocenylethyne with acyl chlorides in the presence of a catalytic amount of PdCl 2 (PPh 3 ) 2 / PdBzCl(PPh 3 ) 2 -Cul. This coupling reaction proceeded smoothly in a dry argon atmosphere at room temperature and gave coupling products in satisfactory yields.
