The work presents the results of simulation of microstrip reflect arrays. The calculations were made with automated system (CAD system) CST Microwave Studio. The equivalent unit cell waveguide approach was applied to make phase curves calculation for the unit patches. The influence of angular displacement of subarrays of the antenna was considered.

The article presents a quadrupole antenna with spatial meander-line polarizer to minimize multipath signal reception. The single quadrupole antenna with low axial ratio at grazing angles was considered. Modeling of the spatial meander-line polarizer for the antenna has been presented. Based on characteristics of models the conclusions of applicability in the area of global navigation satellite systems have been made.

In this paper millimeter-wave reflectarray research, simulation and measurements results are presented. Waveguide elements were used as reflectarray unit cell. Exponential horn was used as illuminator. Low profile reflectarray transforms wavefront like a conventional parabolic reflector. The reflectarray aperture, supporting structure and illuminator were fabricated from aluminum alloy by CNC machine. Measured results show very good agreement with characteristics obtained from the simulations. Manufactured reflectarray provides 50% efficiency in 10% bandwidth.

The low-profile phased array antenna with combined electronic and mechanical beam steering (EMBS) in elevation plane is considered. Simulation results of investigated antenna are introduced (Fig. 2). Optimal antenna geometrical parameters allow keeping reasonable directional characteristics for scanning angles 0±70°. Comparison of a planar phased array antenna and a stair-planar array is performed and results are presented (Fig. 4).

Meander-line polarizer for a half-wave vibrator is presented. Researched antenna was simulated and prototype was manufactured. The comparison of the theoretical and experimental data for investigated antenna (axial ratio) was produced. Influence of polarizer on half-wave vibrator matching characteristics was researched.

In this paper the design of a near-field scanner for antenna measurements is presented. A distinctive feature of the scanner is the absence of probe position sensors. The control circuit is proposed which allows generating the trigger signal for the vector network analyzer during continuous scanning without using information from the probe position sensors. Experimental results demonstrates that the proposed approach allows to perform fast and high quality antenna near-field measurements.

In this paper scanning mode of circular ring antenna is considered. It is shown that such an antenna possess narrower main beam and larger sidelobe level in comparison with circular aperture of the same radius. Ring antenna directivity does not change while scanning to broadside.

The magnetic resonance in FeNi/Bi/FeNi trilayer films with nonmagnetic semimetal spacer has been experimentally studied. It is found that the microwave absorption spectrum of samples has a complicated shape dependent on the nonmagnetic spacer thickness. In the interval of Bi layer thicknesses within 3–15 nm, the interlayer coupling has an antiferromagnetic character.
