In this paper scanning mode of circular ring antenna is considered. It is shown that such an antenna possess narrower main beam and larger sidelobe level in comparison with circular aperture of the same radius. Ring antenna directivity does not change while scanning to broadside.

In this paper an explicit analytical expression is presented, it describes a radiation pattern of a scanning ring aperture radiator. Such radiator has a form of a ring with finite width. When the ratio of inner to outer radius changes from 0 to 1 a ring aperture will change from a continuous round aperture to a circular ring radiator. It is shown that this leads to the main lobe narrowing, directivity decreasing and side lobe level increasing.

In this paper, a 4-element phased antenna array with a steerable main lobe direction is presented. It is possible to obtain different directions of the main lobe in azimuth only by the excitation phase changes. An experimental antenna array operating in the HF range is described.

Unequal and uniform modifications of substrate integrated waveguide Y-type power dividers at 8 GHz are described. Unequal power division is achieved by displacement of a matching via. Phase shift is corrected by the variation of waveguide width. Simulated characteristic of unequal and uniform SIW dividers are presented.

The synthesis method of a beam pattern with nulls in specified directions is presented. A solution of the system of equations is used in the synthesis of the beam pattern. The expression for calculating of the beamformer complex weights is derived.

Investigation results of flat-layered spherical lens made from homogenous dielectric material under illumination of slant polarized wave are presented. Lens anisotropy behavior impact on polarization characteristics of beam pattern main lobe is shown. Results of axial ratio simulation at beam pattern maximum direction in working frequency range are given for different polarization angles of incident wave and for different scan angles.

The mobile unit for wooden support impregnation is described. Unit utilizes microwave vacuum drying process for achieving of good impregnation. Impregnation is performed inside small size cylindrical autoclave which is mounted on the wooden log. For regular distribution of microwave power inside autoclave the spreading system is used which consists of six waveguide slot radiators. It is shown by electromagnetic simulation that such a system provides a regular power loss density distribution over impregnated log and guarantees low reflection coefficient.
