Featured researches published by Yao-Zeng Huang.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1995

A straightforward, efficient and versatile preparation of propargylic alcohols from 1- alkynes and aldehydes via GaI3 and amine

Ying Han; Yao-Zeng Huang

Abstract The straightforward additions of 1-alkynes to aldehydes in the presence of GaI 3 and an amine give propargylic alcohol in moderate to high yields.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1986

A novel palladium-catalyzed rearrangement of acetylenic ketones to furans

Huaiyu Sheng; Shouyuan Lin; Yao-Zeng Huang

Abstract A novel rearrangement of 1-aryl-4-alkyl-2-butyn-1-one in the presence of Pd(dba) 2 -PPh 3 catalyst gave 2,4-substituted furans in moderate yields.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1982

Remarks on the structural evidence of high reactivity of arsonium ylides bearing with an electron-withdrawing substituent

Meicheng Shao; Xianglin. Jin; Youqi Tang; Qichen Huang; Yao-Zeng Huang

The crystal structures of benzoylmethylene triphenyl-arsorane, -phosphorane and triphenylarsine oxide have been studied so as to well account for the high reactivity of the title compounds.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1981

Synthesis of perfluoro-2-alkynenitriles☆

Yao-Zeng Huang; Yanchang Shen; Weiyu Ding; Jianhua Zheng

Abstract Intramolecular Wittig reaction has been applied to the synthesis of perfluoro-2-alkynenitriles (4a, b, c).

Tetrahedron Letters | 1990

A first example of catalytic ylide epoxidation reaction: facile synthesis of vinyl epoxides from aldehydes catalyzed by diisobutyl telluride

Zhang-Lin Zhou; Shi Li-Lan; Yao-Zeng Huang

Abstract In the presence of cesium carbonate, a variety of aldehydes can be epoxidized directly with allyl bromide at 50°C under solid-liquid phase transfer condition by use of a catalytic amount of diisobutyl telluride to afford vinyl epoxides in good yields with predominant cis stereoselectivity.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1985

Facile formylolefination of aldehydes by means of arsonium salt

Yao-Zeng Huang; Li-Lan Shi; Jianhua Yang

Abstract A facile formylolefination of a variety of aldehydes was achieved by using formylmethyltriphenylarsonium bromide with K 2 CO 3 (trace H 2 O) at room temperature to give highly stereoselectively (E) α,β-unsaturated aldehydes in excellent yields.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1988

Barbier-type reaction with trialkylstibine 1☆

Chen Chen; Yanchang Shen; Yao-Zeng Huang

Abstract In the presence of trialkylstibine, various aldehydes react readily with allyl halides to form homoallylic alcohols in excellent yield.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1990

A first non-stabilized telluronium ylide — diphenyltelluronium methylide as a novel reagent for synthesis of oxlranes☆

Li-Lan Shi; Zhang-Lin Zhou; Yao-Zeng Huang

Diphenyltelluronium methylide, generated from methyldiphenyltelluronium tetraphenylborate 1 with LiTMP, reacted with carbonyl compounds to afford substituted oxiranes in moderate to good yields.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1986

A novel olefination of carbonyl compounds with α-bromoacetic ester mediated by tri-n-butylstibine☆

Yao-Zeng Huang; Yanchang Shen; Chen Chen

Abstract Tri-n-butylstibine has been found to mediate the olefinatlon of carbonyl compounds by α-bromoacetic ester to give corresponding olefins in good yields.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1986

A facile stereoselective synthesis of leukotriene A4(LTA4) methyl ester

Yanfang Wang; Jincui Li; Yulin Wu; Yao-Zeng Huang; Li-Lan Shi; Jianhua Yang

Abstract A facile synthesis of LTA4 1 methyl ester was achieved according to Scheme 1, in which the key intermediates 6 and 7 were prepared with the new procedures conveniently, stereoselectively and in good yields.
