Xin Zhang; Tianhe Chi; Mingyao Qi; Qinmin Wang; Chongcheng Chen; Yimin Lu

In the ocean dynamical environment real-time stereo monitoring system of Taiwan Strait and adjacent maritime region, multiple monitoring data such as remote sensing data, structured data will be produced by the stereo monitoring net from airspace, ocean surface, underwater space and ocean bottom. The information service system is a key part to influence the application efficiency of the whole system. According to the characteristics of the oceanic dynamical environment of Taiwan Strait, the construction scheme of the stereo monitoring net is introduced in this paper firstly. The stereo monitoring net will integrate the advanced study achievement on oceanic dynamic environment monitoring technology of our country. Then the architecture of the monitoring data sharing and service system is introduced, which includes five parts, i.e. the monitoring data acquiring module, the data integration module, the data processing and information production development module, and the information sharing and service module. Next, the user classification system and service content classification are introduced. The users are divided into five classes and the service content is divided into 4 layers. At last, the technology realization strategy is introduced. The technology includes the C/S architecture based data analysis and service, and the B/S architecture based online Web analysis and service

Workflow-based Spatial Modeling Environment and its application in food provisioning services of grassland ecosystem

Yimin Lu; Tianxiang Yue; Chenliang Wang; Qinmin Wang

Focusing on the topic of model integration, we develop a Workflow-based Spatial Modeling Environment (WF-SME) which enables scientists and modeling users easy to design and create of complex systems models through a drag-drop operation or editing mathematical formula in model constructor. WF-SME, a visual integrated modeling environment is mainly used for the rapid realization of model dynamic integration, in which we can implement the composition and connection of the existing models, and generate new model through graphical operation. The papers firstly introduce the framework of model integration designed for WF-SME as well as its supporting theory, and then explain in detail how the modules of WF-SME have been realized. WF-SME is a platform for spatial modelling, which was designed in four parts, Spatial Workflow Designer, Model builder, Spatial Calculation engine and Visualization of Modelling Output. The spatial workflow designer built-in WF-SME shipping with toolsets was adopted to create spatial workflow, reuse and aggregate models. Consisting of equation editor and data banding tool, the model builder enable modeller updates formulas on-demand. This editor parsed by MathML is powerful and flexible enough for the requirements of expressions of mathematical calculations. The spatial calculating engine developed based on component, through the map algebra language, executes mathematical calculations. The multi-form visualization module was developed to provide visual expression for a series of intermediate data and its result of the domain models. Finally, we illustrate how the typical practical application sample has been modeled in our modeling environment to validate the feasibility and efficiency of WF-SME. As a case study, grassland ecosystem productivity mechanism model whose input parameters include PAR (Photo synthetically active radiation), Temperature, Precipitation, Soil fertility etc, were build using WF-SME. By the experiments, it is shown that our research is a new attempt for model components reusing and complicated models integration, and WF-SME has been satisfied for complicatedly modeling in multi-domain of resource and environment.

Tianhe Chi; Xin Zhang; Huabin Chen; Qinmin Wang; Chongcheng Chen; Yimin Lu

In the Fujian region of the ocean dynamical environment real-time stereo monitoring system of Taiwan Strait and adjacent maritime region, multiple monitoring data such as remote sensing data, structured data can be produced by the stereo monitoring net from airspace, ocean surface and so on. The storage, management, analysis and service of the monitor information are the key parts of the whole system. Aiming at resolving the information organization and integrated analysis of the monitoring information, this paper studies the characteristics, design and application of the data warehouse of ocean stereo monitoring information. Firstly, the characteristics and application model of the data warehouse of ocean solid monitoring information is introduced from the aspects of spatial, temporal, subject-oriented, multiple resource and decision-making oriented. Then the subject classification, design of concept module of the data warehouse of ocean solid monitoring information is introduced. The whole monitoring data warehouse is divided into 5 subjects such as ocean waves monitoring subject, ocean ecological environment monitoring subject and so on. The Star Schema is used to demonstrate the multi-dimension character of the ocean monitoring information. Finally, the data warehouse of ocean solid monitoring information based information service realization strategies is studied from the C/S architecture and B/S architecture

Tiaiihe Chi; Huabin Chen; Xin Zhang; Qinmin Wang; Chongcheng Chen; Yimin Lu

Airborne SAR remote sensing image has the characteristic of large data volume and computation burden, so the processing needs very large computer memory and stronger computation ability. Based on the introduction of the SAR image processing procedure, this paper studies the SAR image processing using computer parallel computation technology. The parallel processing mechanism is based on the parallel computer cluster operation and the large virtual shared memory technology. In the Client/Server architecture based SAR image parallel system, agent based network communication plays an important role in the computer performance monitor and burden distribution. In the end, the application of the SAR image parallel processing system in the disaster monitor and assessment system is introduced. The application result illustrates the high efficiency of the system and the feasibility of our research

Metadata Management of Models for Resources and Environment Based on Web 2.0 Technology

Yimin Lu; Ling Sheng; Sheng Wu; Tianxiang Yue

The papers firstly introduce the standard framework of model metadata as well as its composition, content and meaning. It is held that model metadata should consist of an identifier, sphere of application, model parameters, principles, performances, run conditions, management information, references, and case information. Then we explained the virtual community for model metadata publishing, sharing and maintaining. Finally, we expatiated on the expression of model metadata standard based on XML schema Definition (XSD), the extended-metadata based on Tag and the publishing of model metadata based on Wiki. Based on Web 2.0 technology, the traditional model metadata which just create by modeler was extended to support extended-metadata created by model users or domain experts, which includes the feedback on model evaluation and suggestion. The user-metadata was refined from massive messy individual tags, which reflect the implicit knowledge of models.
