The real facts in the education institute is the significant growth of the educational data. Basically the main goal of this paper is to propose a model that can be applied in data warehouse and data mining techniques to predict student performance (academic) in schools. Data mining techniques was used to extract the essential information from the data warehouse and to explore the relationships between variables stored in the data warehouse. In this study we will discuss how data mining and data warehouse model can help the low achiever students, evaluate the course or module suitability, and tailor the interventions to increase student academic performance in schools.

The aim of this research is to create a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for XYZ University to be opened for public use and education. The method of this MOOC was covered in Horton’s book E-Learning by Design, and the analysis method will use Unified Process (UP). What was gained from this analysis and development is an MOOC site that can be used to deliver introductory courses in Information System to the general public for free and can be accessed easily, be it from computer or mobile devices. What can be concluded from this development are courses in Information System (IS) area to decide whether or not potential students want to pursue an education in the field, students mostly turn to books, internet searches, and non-MOOC online courses. This MOOC provides a platform where they can learn from IS lecturers so that they do not have to learn unassisted, which gives them a stronger understanding of the basics of IS to make an informed decision on pursuing an education in IS.

Inventory management system in manufacturing company is very susceptible to problems. Meanwhile, the system of inventory in xyz company has been running for more than 10 years, never been evaluate. The purpose of the evaluation is to make sure that all of the function in the system are used properly and meets user expectation, especially to enhance the productivity and also efficiency of the company. Methods used in this research are Fit / Gap Analysis method that have function to list the user requirement and check the functionality of the system based on the business process in the company, whether its already fit or still have gap between the functionality of the system and the business process of the company. Another methodology used is Risk Analysis, Risk Analysis made after gap in the system has been found, risk analysis has function to identify risks that may occur if the company not implement the recommendation that has been given. The result of this analysis will be using to enhance the company both effectiveness and efficiency to increase the value of the company in the future.

Usually the purpose with business intelligence is to increase the profit, through capturing, storing, sharing, and utilizing knowledge in an innovative way. Are the concepts of business intelligence applicable to schools? If that is the case, then the primary and secondary education sectors should be replete with examples of institutions that leverage business intelligence to achieve operational excellence. This paper discusses the need for business intelligence from the perspectives of teachers in academic services, perceptions of application and benefits. However, although some examples exist, they are the exception rather than the rule. We believe there is tremendous value to school institutions that develop initiatives to achieve business objectives. The business intelligence can be classified as support for teaching staff decision making. The conclusion is that business intelligence could be used in schools, facilitating the business intelligence within the organization for academic services.

The aims of this research are to identify and to analyze the need of accounting information systems, including the processes, procedures, and also the documents which related to the production process in XYZ. Next step, We conduct designing accounting information systems which is useful to support current business process. Analysis and design the systems that we conducted, related to the organizational structure and current business processes. Its analysis and design systems based on the theories of accounting information systems, production process and also internal control. The result achieved is an application model, which can assist production process activities, especially in documenting and storing data transaction and also generating reports in accordance with organization’s needs. The conclusion is the implementation of the accounting information systems application which can improve the XYZ’s systems performance and the current business processes. Therefore, it can obtain the required information in a timely and accurately.

The importance of effective knowledge management is well recognized in a number of manufacturing companies. There is still, however, a clear need to further reinforce applications of knowledge management tools by effectively solving fundamental and specific problems related to knowledge management practice in manufacturing industry. The paper presents the concept specifically for the business case at the palm oil companies, where the tools are used to transfer the knowledge over different life cycles of the production process to enhance data sharing. This paper put forward a knowledge management operation mode for manufacturing process based on knowledge lifecycle, and research the operation mode from the points of the knowledge acquisition stage, knowledge sharing stage, and knowledge utilization stage. This paper gives a value to manufacturing companies to develop initiatives to share knowledge to achieve business objectives.
