Chemistry of organosilicon compounds: CLXXXVIII. Reaction of organodisilanes with dienes catalyzed by transition metal complexes. Preparation of 1,8-bis(trimethylsilyl)octa-2,6-diene and its use in the synthesis of dl-muscone☆☆☆

Hideki Sakurai; Yuichi Eriyama; Yoshiyasu Kamiyama; Yasuhiro Nakadaira

Abstract Organodisilanes, Me 3- n X n SiSiX n Me 3- n (X = Cl and MeO, n = 0, 1, 2) undergo efficient 1:2 addition reactions with butadiene and isoprene in the presence of a catalytic amount of a suitable palladium complex. One of the products, the title compound, was used as a starting material for a short synthesis of dl -muscone.

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry | 1977

Chemistry of organosilicon compounds XCVI. The SiSi/SiSi Metathesis reaction catalyzed by palladium complexes☆

Hideki Sakurai; Yoshiyasu Kamiyama; Yasuhiro Nakadaira

Abstract 1,1,2,2-Tetramethyl-1,2-disilacyclopentane undergoes the SiSi/SiSi metathesis reaction with vinyl- or ethynyl-substituted disilanes in the presence of a palladium complex.

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry | 1980

Chemistry of organosilicon compounds : CXLII. 29Si nmr spectra of some iron and ruthenium complexes containing silicon. Reassignment of the structures of the complexes obtained by the reaction vinyldisilanes and nonacarbonyldiiron

Hideki Sakurai; Yoshiyasu Kamiyama; Atsushi Mikoda; Toshiaki Kobayashi; Kazuo Sasaki; Yasuhiro Nakadaira

Abstract 29 Si NMR studies on several iron and ruthenium carbonyl complexes containing silicon revealed that the complexes obtained from vinyldisilanes and nonacarbonyldiiron previously reported to be (η 3 -1-silapropenyl)tricarbon: iron compounds really are (η 2 -vinyldisilane)tetracarbonyliron complexes.

Journal of The Chemical Society, Chemical Communications | 1978

Photochemical reactions of a silacyclopropene with nitriles leading to new organosilicon ring systems

Hideki Sakurai; Yoshiyasu Kamiyama; Yasuhiro Nakadaira

Irradiation of 1,1-dimethyl-2-phenyl-3-trimethylsilylsilacyclopropene (1) in the presence of RCN (R = Ph, Me, and CH2CHCH2) resulted in the formation of aza-2,8-disilabicyclo[3.2.1]octa-3,6-diene derivatives (2), whereas the photochemical reaction of (1) with acrylonitrile afforded, in addition to (2), another new ring system, 1-aza-2,8-disilabicyclo[3.3.0]octa-3,6-diene (3).

Journal of the American Chemical Society | 1975
