This study explores the characteristics of rental goods, integrates the green concept in the design and development, and introduces the concept of product service into the rental consumption trend in Taiwan. This study takes the questionnaire survey to collect various opinions of the consumers to rental consumption and also classifies the Taiwanese consumers into five clusters based on the life styles, and the names of clusters are simple financial management cluster, environment and taste cluster, fashionable and flexible cluster, careful purchase cluster, and smart consumption cluster. Finally, conclusions are as follows. (1) The green consumption cognition and attitude of the consumers to the environmental goods can help to master the factor of green consumption property for developing the rental commodities. (2) The market segmentation of the rental consumption market can be enhanced by the variables of available life styles. (3) The applications with product service rental characteristics should take the opinion feedback of the consumers into the sustainable product development conditions and expand the service property of the product. (4) As the cost of cradle-to-cradle recycling pattern is high, the support and promotion of the government can help to construct the business model of product service rental consumption and develop the rental economy.

Customization can match consumers’ individual needs and avoid the unnecessary waste and use of the producers’ materials. In order to lower the impact of products on the ecological environment, this study explored and analyzed customization development procedures in product service systems (PSSs). Decision-making analysis was conducted on the development factors of customization, and important elements and weight factors related to environmental benefits were identified according to the analytical result. The research methods included three stages. First, literature review and analysis were conducted to generalize the criteria of PSSs and customization development. Second, expert interviews, literature review, and the analytic network process were conducted to identify the key elements of the customization development procedures in PSSs. Finally, a customization development procedure was designed for a PSS, and a customization development evaluation tool was planned as the important criterion for product customization development procedures in PSSs.

This study aimed to adopt the perspective of corporate social responsibility (CSR) to explore the intention of sustainable product development in Taiwan, as well as leading to the creation of influential factors that affect corporate sustainable product development intention. In this research, the induction analysis was conducted to understand the implementation of sustainable product development, and this was supplemented with questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews to evaluate developmental intention. In addition, principal component analysis was used for factor analysis and content analysis in the 6 W expression method, leading to the creation of the influential factors. The research results have demonstrated that the factors affecting the intention of corporate sustainable product development include having a sustainable design and a development purpose, a corporate development purpose, sustainable development concepts, a sustainable design value, a sustainability concept, and a manufacturing process quality. For sustainable product development, corporate social responsibility needs to be most concerned with the added value of products, regulation requirements, and accommodation of the industrial chain, costs, and quality.

Face the energy recovery and environmental concerns and policy, the plastic molds design and develop have to focus on the issues of the lead-free, non-toxic, recyclable, re-manufactured, and integrate environmental protection and technology etc. Hence, this study adopts the product service system to integrate product and service to meet consumer demands. Furthermore, this system concept combines the procedures of design, manufacture, and distribution. This procedure of service supply will improve product life cycle for reduced environmental impact, satisfy the concepts of the reuse and remanufacturing of raw materials, reduce production waste, and further achieve the purpose of dematerialization. The purpose of this research is to construct the impact factors of the sustainable design and development of plastic molds on product service. This study integrates expert interviews and the literature review to list the principles of the sustainable design and development of plastic molds; the results of this study sum up 6 capital dimensions and 30 evaluation indicators, which are analyzed through the analytical hierarchy process, and add the plastic mold application process to provide complete products and services that improve the sustainable design, development process, and evaluation criteria of plastic molds.

Through expert interviews this study obtained the influence factors of the transformation of traditional industries and set the framework of the expert questionnaire. Then the study used the Delphi method and the expert questionnaire to uncover the ranking of the influence factors and the key success factors of transforming traditional industries. The purposes of this research are as follows: (1) according to the literature reviews and expert interviews to analyze and evaluate green industry indicators; (2) based on the green industry indicators above to establish the ANP model of green industry; (3) through the ANP model to obtain and assess the weight ranking of green industry; and (4) finally, to uncover the key success factors of green industry. Furthermore, this study provided assessment check items for the transforming traditional industries toward green industries. Based on the research results, it can be expected to give clearer guidelines for the industrial transformation and sustainable development strategy, and to create innovative and sustainable green business strategies.
