Four monoterpene alkaloid derivatives from Incarvillea sinensis

Motoyuki Nakamura; Yu-Ming Chi; Junei Kinjo; Wen-Mei Yan; Toshihiro Nohara

Two new derivatives of monoterpene alkaloids, named incarvillateine C and incarvillateine D which are related to an antinociceptive alkaloid, incarvillateine, were isolated from the aerial parts of Incarvillea sinensis LAM. On the basis of both chemical and spectroscopic evidence, the structures of the first two were characterized as a bis-demethoxy and demethoxy derivatives of incarvillateine, respectively.

Two alkaloids from Incarvillea sinensis

Yu-Ming Chi; Fumio Hashimoto; Wen-Mei-Yan; Toshihiro Nohara

Two novel ester alkaloids, incarvines B and C, were isolated from the aerial parts of Incarvillea sinensis. On the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence, incarvine B was characterized as the ester of the monoterpene alkaloid, incarvilline, and the monoterpene acid, Hildebrandts acid, whilst the structure of incarvine C was established as incarvilline 7-O-ferulate.

Phytochemistry | 1995

Incarvine A, a monoterpene alkaloid from Incarvillea sinensis

Yu-Ming Chi; Fumio Hashimoto; Wen-Mei Yan; Toshihiro Nohara

A novel ester compound comprised of a monoterpene alkaloid and a monoterpene, named incarvine A, has been isolated from Incarvillea sinensis. Its chemical structure was characterized by chemical and spectroscopic means.

Journal of Asian Natural Products Research | 2007

Yu-Ming Chi; Motoyuki Nakamura; Xi-Ying Zhao; Toyokichi Yoshizawa; Wen-Mei Yan; Fumio Hashimoto; Y.-C. Chi; Junei Kinjo; Toshihiro Nohara

A novel macrocyclic spermine alkaloid incasine C′ (1), along with a known compound incasine C (2), were isolated from the whole plants of Incarvillea sinensis, and their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence.
