Over 200 mW 980 nm pump laser diode module using optimized high-coupling lensed fiber

The high-power 980-nm pumping laser diode module of 230 mW at kink driving current was fabricated by optimizing the wedge-shape of lensed fiber to achieve 95% coupling efficiency.

Realization of high power and wavelength stabilized 980 nm-pump laser diode module with Fiber-Bragg-Grating by optimizing the effective reflectivity with Spatial-Hole-Burning effect

Effective reflectivity of fiber Bragg grating (FBG)-locked 980-nm laser module was analyzed relating to spatial hole burning. The optimized external-cavity design realized wavelength fluctuation under /spl plusmn/0.3 nm. Power degradation by FBG was below 10%. End-of-life guaranteed power exceeded 150 mW@250 mA/spl sim/300 mA.
