Abstract A series of chiral sulfahydantoins have been synthesized by alkaline cyclization starting from N-sulfamylaminoacid methyl esters. Regioselective glycosylation of these pseudopyrimidic heterocycles was carried out with a benzyl protecting group on the N-sulfonylcarbamic position. Best glycosylation results were obtained by preliminary silylation of sulfahydantoins, and their condensation with a tetraacylribofuranose which yielded the pseudonucleosides in a s-anomeric configuration.

Starting from chlorosulfonyl isocyanate, successive addition of selected 1,2 and 1,3 haloalcohols, sulfamoylation with the nitrogen mustard and cyclization in alkaline conditions give title compounds in good yields. These sulfamoyloxazolidinones and sulfamoylperhydrooxazinones were revealed as efficient 2-chloroethylsulfamoyl donors in the 2-chloroethylnitrososulfamides synthesis; five new CENS (derivated from heterocyclic amines and amino acids) were thus synthezised. According to the experimental conditions, N-sulfamoylcyclocarbamates can be reopened by nucleophiles giving addition products by transcarbamoylation.

The sulfamide functional group is increasingly relevant in both medicinal and bioorganic chemistry. We report here practical access to a series of N2,N5-substituted five-membered cyclosulfamides. The five-membered heterocyclic motif was prepared starting from proteogenic amino acids and chlorosulfonyl isocyanate via the Mitsunobu reaction. Selected chemical and spectral proprieties and the antimicrobial evaluation of these compounds are detailed.

A general synthesis for the preparation of chiral N-N′ substituted 1,2,5-thiadiazolidine 1,1-dioxides has been developed beginning with proteogenic amino acid, sulfuryl chloride, and dibromoethane. The selected chemistry and spectral properties of these compounds are examined. Overall, routes described are applicable to the synthesis of a variety of constrained dipeptidal sulfamides representing novel peptidomimetic scaffolds.

Abstract An efficient three‐step synthesis of chiral 1,1′‐(sulfonyl)bisaziridines is described. Preparation of these compounds was carried out easily starting from N,N′‐sulfonyl bis‐(α‐L‐aminoester) to afford the title compounds in very good yields. These 1,1′‐(sulfonyl)bisaziridines can constitute interesting synthetic building blocks.
