Organizations are nowadays concerned with managing their corporate image. There is a strong positive correlation between people’s perceptions of a company and pro-corporate supportive behaviour. In this study, past researchers on corporate image were incorporated to create a platform for framework which identifies the variables of relationship between corporate image and customer loyalty cum profitability. The study utilized descriptive statistics, bivariate correlation and linear regression to investigate the impact of corporate image on customer loyalty and profitability within the Nigerian service industry (banking). The study adopted the research instrument of self-structured questionnaire which was in line with the reviewed literature and focused on the main variables in the study. It was found in the model parameters that physical environment, service offering and customer loyalty have significant impact on the level of profitability. Thus, we can rightly conclude that the level of satisfaction among customers tends to affect the service offerings and customer loyalty which has a direct link with corporate profitability.

The relevance of organisational culture on job satisfaction and performance particularly within the hospitality sector cannot be over-emphasized. The culture of an organization goes a long way in distinguishing it from other organizations because it shows its ability to either be successful or to fail. To however achieve excellence and high-level performance, it is important to note that for effective and efficient operation, an organization would need a formal approach of communication as well as for making decisions and completing the tasks to match the needs of the organization. The managerial implications drawn from the study is that organizations should take advantage of their culture and inculcate values that will enhance performance.

The main objective of this survey is to present data on the perception of the influence of faculty support initiatives on efficacy of job responsibilities using six private university in Nigeria as case study. The population of the study included all faculty members of selected private universities with a total of 1912 faculty members. A sample size of 500 were selected to participate in the survey based on the outcome of the sample size determination formula suggested by Falola et al. (2016) [5]. The validity and reliability of the research instrument were carried out. Regression analysis and structural equation modeling were used as statistical tool of analysis. It is believed that when the data is analysed, it will give insight into how faculty support initiatives of various universities can help in enhancing the effectiveness of job responsibilities.

The main objective of this paper is to present the data set which depicts faculty commitment and effectiveness of job responsibilities in a changing world and the moderating role of the university׳s support system. The population of the study consisted all the 1912 Faculty members of six selected private universities in Southwest, Nigeria [5]. The sample size determination formula by [5] was adopted, resulting in the selection of 400 respondents to whom a structured questionnaire was administered accordingly. Only 343 copies of the questionnaire were valid and used for this data set. Structural equation modeling, which combines factor analysis and multiple regression, was used to present the structural relationship between dependent and independent variables. When the data is analysed, it will help to determine the degree of relationship and the strength of significance between the observed variables and the latent constructs.

This study focused on the relationship between job design and behavioural outcomes of employees in Agricultural Research Training, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. The study was quantitative and the items in the questionnaire were adapted from previous studies. A total of 227 respondents were surveyed and statistical regression models were used to examine the relationship between the independent variables (job design) and dependent variables (employee behavioural outcomes). The findings showed that 14.4% of the variance in job design dimensions can explain the variance in employee behavioural outcome. The model revealed that task identity, sense of autonomy and skill variety had more statistical significance in predicting employee behavioural outcome, recording the highest beta value than other variables such as task significance and feedback mechanisms. The model indicates that the strength of regression weights of paths has a strong direction.

This study critically examines the role of brand culture in influencing the perceived value of offerings to customers within the hospitality industry in Nigeria. In todays competitive market, the extent at which organizations disregard the importance of developing a strong brand culture before communicating their value to the outside world has become worrisome. Hence, this study filled in the gaps and a total of 434 customers drawn from six different hotels in Lagos state, Nigeria, were sampled. The data were analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Management of these hotels were able to define their expectations in order to deliver a consistent brand experience to their customers. The result showed that brand culture has positive significant influence on the perceived value of offerings to customers. Important recommendations have also been made.

This study aimed at establishing the relationship between the dimensions of leadership styles and employees’ job satisfaction in hospitality industry in Nigeria. This study was prompted by reports of high labour turnover in this sector of the economy (especially in the guesthouses), because of reduction in the satisfaction of the workforce. Cross-sectional research design which is quantitative in nature, was the methodology adopted for this study to assess the trends of relationships between the constructs. Questionnaire was used as the measuring instrument, and reliability and validity test for the instrument were established using cronbach alpha, for all the variables ranging between 71% and 89%. The study population comprises 410 employees in the six selected functioning guesthouses, which also represents the study sample. Total enumeration sampling technique was adopted. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software package (version 22) was used for the analysis of the data. The field dataset is available to the public for more rigorous, extensive, critical and extended analysis.

The dataset on the effects of social demographic on job satisfaction was obtained through self-administered questionnaire. The survey was situated in a Nigerian manufacturing company and the valid ninety two copies of the questionnaire were analyzed by AMOS 21. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) analysis was carried out on the constructs. In addition, further analysis of the data will assist in establishing the significant level of demographic on job satisfaction.

Survey datasets on the influence of conflict management strategies on academic staff productivity in selected public universities in Nigeria

Ebeguki Edith Igbinoba; Hezekiah Olubusayo Falola; Adewale Omotayo Osibanjo; O. Olumuyiwa Oludayo

The article presented data on the influence of conflict management strategies on productivity of Academic Staff of selected public universities in Nigeria. A total of 368 copies of questionnaire were administered to the academic staff of selected three (3) Public Universities in the South–West Zone of Nigeria and 325 copies were returned and deemed usable. This represents a response rate of 88.32%. Emphasis was laid on the year of establishment of the selected universities based on the fact that over the years, these universities are likely to have been exposed to conflicts and the strategies for managing them. The study adopted the quantitative approach with a descriptive research design to establish trends related to the objectives of the study. The questionnaire used for this study was adapted from the work of Rahim (2002) [4]. The population of this study included all the Academic Staff of the selected public universities. Data was analyzed with the use of multiple regression and structural equation modeling. The data set is made available and accessible for more comprehensive research.

datasets on employee value proposition (evp) and performance of selected fast moving consumer goods (FMCGs) firms in Nigeria

Odunayo Paul Salau; Adewale Omotayo Osibanjo; A. A. Adeniji; Oluwatunmise Ojebola; O. Olumuyiwa Oludayo; Hezekiah Olubusayo Falola; Tolulope Morenike Atolagbe

The article presented an integrated dataset on employee value proposition (EVP) and performance of selected Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs) firms in Nigeria. The study adopted quantitative approach with a descriptive research design to establish the major determinants of employee value proposition. The population of this study included staff and management of the selected firms. Data was analysed with the use of measurement and structural equation modelling and the field data set is made widely accessible to enable critical or a more comprehensive investigation. The findings identified career growth and reward flexibility as predictive determinants of EVP for increased performance of sampled firms. It was recommended that FCMGs firms need to adopt consistent range of strategies to improve company strength and ethical culture for performance to be heightened.
