Theoretical investigations of continuous ultrasonic seam welding of thermoplastic polymers and fabrics

The article presents results of theoretical investigations of formation of continuous joint in contact area of flat surface of the radiator with rotating surface of the pressure roller. The recommendation on the choice of pressure roller parameters and optimal amplitude of ultrasonic vibrations and broach speed for materials different in properties and thickness were developed on the basis of analysis of distribution, reflection and absorption of ultrasonic vibrations in connected materials in the contact zone.

There is possibility to provide optimal modes adjusting of energetic parameters of ultrasonic welder equipment and to achieve high efficiency of solving different technological tasks of wares welding.

The development of ultrasonic welder for the formation of continuous welding seams

The paper is devoted to the design of formation of continuous seam by the ultrasonic welding. The base of the device is developed vibrating system consisting of the piezoelectric transducer of longitudinal ultrasonic vibrations with the working tool, which provides the transformation of longitudinal vibrations into radial ones. Designed welder helps to achieve tight joint of thermoplastic materials with different thickness due to the regulation of broaching speed and amount of clearance between the bearing and the working tool.

Research of ultrasonic welding of polymer ring-shaped materials

The article considers the model of formation of weld seam of polymers by ultrasonic welding with ring-shaped working tool. Dependences of optimum amplitude of ultrasonic influence were ascertained according to diameter and width of the joint on the basis of the theoretical analysis of the process. The results of theoretical studies allow proposing the algorithm for optimum control of ultrasonic welding of thermoplastic materials during the formation of circular weld of large diameter and realizing the new approach to the design of specialized ultrasonic equipment.

Ultrasonic welding is the most perspective way of reception of qualitative welded connection of thermoplastic polymeric materials and fabrics. In article results of researches on development of the specialized ultrasonic equipment for semi-automatic ultrasonic welding are submitted and are sharp painting nylon tapes and to a choice of optimum parameters and modes. The created ultrasonic equipment is recommended to be applied to ultrasonic welding and cutting the painting nylon tapes used for shock matrix printers, cash registers, printed machines, and other equipment

The article is devoted to the discussion of the results of theoretical investigations of joining of polymeric materials by ultrasonic welding seam made by the ring-shaped working tool. According to results of theoretical studies optimal parameters are established according to the energy influence depending on the diameter and the width of formed weld. The theoretical results are allowed to propose an algorithm of optimal control of ultrasonic welding of thermoplastic materials in formation of circular welds of large diameter and to realize a new approach to the design and selection of specialized ultrasonic equipment.

The development of ultrasonic vibrating system for continuous seam welding

The article is devoted to the design of piezoelectric vibrating system providing transformation of longitudinal vibrations of the transducer into radial vibrations of welding instrument made in the form of diverging cone, on the external surface of which at the part of larger diameter cylindrical working surface is made. The presence of cylindrical working surface at the provision of rotation of vibrating system allows to carry out continuous welding of list and film thermoplastic materials. The design on the base of mathematical modeling and experimental studies of produced constructions let develop vibrating system providing ultrasonic influence with the amplitude of no less than 30 μm, if the diameter of radiating surface is 92 mm and its width is 4 mm.
