O objetivo do estudo foi analisar as preocupacoes de professores de Educacao Fisica. Participaram do estudo quatro professores efetivos e com mais de 25 anos de atuacao no magisterio publico estadual de Santa Catarina. Entrevistas semiestruturadas foram realizadas, e a tecnica de analise de conteudo foi utilizada na analise das informacoes. Os resultados revelaram alteracoes importantes nas percepcoes de preocupacoes ao longo da carreira docente. Os professores iniciaram na profissao preocupados com as condicoes de trabalho ofertadas, pautando-se posteriormente na acao didatica e nas propostas governamentais para a escola publica. Nos ciclos finais de vida docente destacaram-se as preocupacoes com os problemas sociais a que os alunos sao expostos.

ABSTRACT Objective: To translate and adapt a questionnaire aimed to evaluate teasing during the practice of physical/sports activities in the adolescent population. Methods: The whole process had six stages: four translations, elaboration of a synthesis version, two back-translations, evaluation by a committee of experts, test of pre-final version with the target population, and presentation of final version to a committee of experts. Thirty-eight adolescents aged between 11 and 18 years participated in the pre-final version test, all of them from the 6th grade of elementary school to senior year of high school in a public school of the state of Santa Catarina. Results: The steps were strictly followed and then the need for change in the instrument emerged. The questions were altered according to discrepancies observed in back-translations, as well as suggestions by specialists to improve understanding and/or clarity and notes of adolescents participating in the pre-final test. Conclusions: The instrument was translated into Portuguese and adapted to the Brazilian context according to the reality and culture of adolescents aged 11 to 18 years old, with possible understanding failures in younger age groups.

This study maps research on the structure of practice tasks in teams from beginner categories in collective sports modalities, considering pedagogical (type of content; game stages; and game situations) and organizational (total time of the task; useful time; and type of participation) variables. Three information searches were conducted: on indexation databases; journal’s websites; and references from the articles found in the first two searches. The studies’ time scope was 2000-2017. The results showed that, regarding pedagogical variables, tasks were based on tactical behaviors (type of content), mixed actions (game stages), and situations of numerical equality (game situations). Regarding the organizational variable, the tasks indicated predominance of consecutive participation in the practice (type of participation).

Este estudo analisou as implicacoes dos percursos pessoal, formativo e profissional no desenvolvimento da carreira docente de uma professora de Educacao Fisica na fase emerita. Na coleta das informacoes utilizou-se uma entrevista semiestruturada, a qual foi analisada pela tecnica de analise de conteudo. A historia de vida da professora ilustra os entrelacamentos dos percursos de desenvolvimento, em que o percurso pessoal e marcado pelo afastamento da familia em prol dos estudos e do trabalho e o formativo representado pelo encantamento com o curso de formacao inicial e pela constante atualizacao por meio dos processos de formacao continuada em servico e em prol da melhoria da pratica pedagogica, enquanto o percurso profissional e sustentado pelos momentos significativos vivenciados ao longo de cinco ciclos de vida docente.

This article presents reflections on teachers’ concerns. After presenting the theory of Fuller and colleagues that underlies empirical studies carried out with student-teachers and teachers in Brazil and abroad, it reflects on enrichment and deepening of research related to the theme. The literature searched reveals both the need to observe changes in society since the Theory of teachers’ concerns was put forward and adjusted, and the need to observe issues related to the theme, the context of action, and methods in order to assess teachers’ concerns with higher accuracy.

The aim of this study was to investigate the transitions present in the process of female basketball players’ development. Thirty-one athletes and two coaches from a top-rated development basketball club of Santa Catarina/Brazil participated on the study. Data collection occurred through semi-structured interviews and were analyzed by the technique of content analysis, with the support of NVivo 9.2 software. Results revealed the importance and the challenges around the simultaneous experiences of sporting and non-sporting transitions, highlighting that athletes experienced the transition from initiation to specialization in basketball at the same time that they experienced the transition from childhood to adolescence. The athletes who experienced transitions to more intense specialized training also experienced significant psychosocial transitions, especially related to social life (friendships), leisure and study (transition from Elementary School to High School). Finally, while transiting from the young categories to the adult one, players have gone through transitions both in interpersonal relationships (dating) and from high school to college. The evidence found allow us to conclude about the importance of deepen the understanding of the lived transitions and how they affect the development of female basketball athletes, as well as to identify the intrinsic and extrinsic features and strategies used to the successful overcoming of these different transitions.

The present study aimed to analyze the flexibility level in high school students from Florianopolis - SC, regarding gender, age, and extracurricular physical activity practice. The sample was composed by 300 schoolchildren, from both genders, aged 15 ± 0.9 yr. A self-managed questionnaire was used to assess socioeconomic status and extracurricular physical activity practice. The results showed that most of the students as inform the class B socioeconomical stratum, and were used to engaging in some physical activity, notably those involving aerobic exercise, for one to three times per week. Hip flexibility, most of the female students is at a health risk condition range, unlike the male students. Nevertheless, for the shoulder, the females are at an advisable range. Physical education practice does not seem to modify such status. As a conclusion, male students are more flexible for hip, and on the other hand the females overcome their counterparts concerning shoulder flexibility.
