Construção da Carreira Docente em Educação Física: Escolhas, Trajetórias e Perspectivas

O objetivo desta investigacao foi analisar a historia de vida de professores de Educacao Fisica, procurando identificar as escolhas, as perspectivas e as trajetorias vivenciadas. Participaram do estudo quatro professores que se encontram em diferentes fases da carreira docente (entrada, consolidacao, diversificacao e estabilizacao). Na recolha das informacoes foi utilizada a entrevista semi-estruturada e a tecnica da narrativa foi empregada na analise dos dados. As evidencias do estudo confirmam que docentes, mesmo com formacoes realizadas em momentos distintos e que atuam em contextos diferenciados, apresentam pontos comuns nas suas trajetorias profissionais, respeitadas as especificidades da historia pessoal de cada professor. Síndrome de Burnout: um estudo com professores de Educação Física

Teaching has as attribute the direct and intense contact with people, a propitious feature to the development of the Burnout Syndrome. This descriptive cross-sectional study aimed to verify the presence of this syndrome in the physical education teachers of public schools of the city ofPelotas-RS,Brazil, revealing that 60.6% of teachers were with high emotional exhaustion, 22.3% with high depersonalization and 34.0% with low professional fulfillment. In 8.5% of them, the rates display the presence of the syndrome. The results indicate the urgency of the attention to the implementation of public policies on prevention of diseases that affect teachers.

Competências profissionais em Educação Física: uma abordagem ao longo da carreira docente

The objective of this study was to analyze the professional competences elucidated in the educational career of Physical Education teachers from school. 64 teachers of Physical Education of the municipal public net of Porto Alegre (RS) participated in the study. In the collection of data a questionnaire was used composed by open and closed questions, whose answers were classified based on the model of professional competence of Cheetham; Chivers (1998), with the application of the Software Nvivo 7.0. In the group of analyzed competences, it was identified that teachers with more experience are those that stand out the functional competences in their paths, characterized by the specific competence of the occupation and of the organization and administration. It stands out that the social and vocational dimension was preponderant in elapsing of the educational career, in the detriment of the interpersonal dimension of the social and personal competence. In spite of the importance of the ethics to the educational profession, the ethical competence and values was not expressive in the units of registration of this study.

Inserção profissional e formação continuada de egressos de cursos de graduação em Educação Física

The aim of the study was to analyze aspects of employability and prospects for continued education of graduates from the bachelor and degree courses on Physical Education from Federal University of Santa Catarina. The participants were 63 graduates (34 bachelors and 29 licensees) graduated between the second semester of 2009 and the second semester of 2010, who answered the questions from an online questionnaire especially constructed and validated for the study, which sought information regarding their employability and prospects of continued education. In general, it was observed that most of the graduates was working in the professional area of interest, mainly in private institutions. The lack of working experience and the low payment offered by the workplaces were considered the main barriers to employability. On the other hand, were perceived as facilitators of this process the range of intervention options available to the professional of Physical Education, as well as the knowledge acquired during the initial education. The monthly remuneration of the most employed graduates was up to three minimum wages. It was the interest of graduates from both courses performing activities of continued education on Physical Education, with common highlight to specialization and / or masters courses on the areas of physical activity related to health promotion. The found evidence may provide indicators of the effectiveness of curricular changes made in undergraduate courses on Physical Education from UFSC, as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of the initial education offered to the students.

ADAPTAÇÃO TRANSCULTURAL PARA O PORTUGUÊS DE UM INSTRUMENTO PARA AVALIAÇÃO DE PROVOCAÇÕES DURANTE A ATIVIDADE FÍSICA/ESPORTIVA EM ADOLESCENTES BRASILEIROS

ABSTRACT Objective: To translate and adapt a questionnaire aimed to evaluate teasing during the practice of physical/sports activities in the adolescent population. Methods: The whole process had six stages: four translations, elaboration of a synthesis version, two back-translations, evaluation by a committee of experts, test of pre-final version with the target population, and presentation of final version to a committee of experts. Thirty-eight adolescents aged between 11 and 18 years participated in the pre-final version test, all of them from the 6th grade of elementary school to senior year of high school in a public school of the state of Santa Catarina. Results: The steps were strictly followed and then the need for change in the instrument emerged. The questions were altered according to discrepancies observed in back-translations, as well as suggestions by specialists to improve understanding and/or clarity and notes of adolescents participating in the pre-final test. Conclusions: The instrument was translated into Portuguese and adapted to the Brazilian context according to the reality and culture of adolescents aged 11 to 18 years old, with possible understanding failures in younger age groups.

CARREIRA DOCENTE EM EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA: HISTÓRIA DE VIDA DE UMA PROFESSORA EMÉRITA

Este estudo analisou as implicacoes dos percursos pessoal, formativo e profissional no desenvolvimento da carreira docente de uma professora de Educacao Fisica na fase emerita. Na coleta das informacoes utilizou-se uma entrevista semiestruturada, a qual foi analisada pela tecnica de analise de conteudo. A historia de vida da professora ilustra os entrelacamentos dos percursos de desenvolvimento, em que o percurso pessoal e marcado pelo afastamento da familia em prol dos estudos e do trabalho e o formativo representado pelo encantamento com o curso de formacao inicial e pela constante atualizacao por meio dos processos de formacao continuada em servico e em prol da melhoria da pratica pedagogica, enquanto o percurso profissional e sustentado pelos momentos significativos vivenciados ao longo de cinco ciclos de vida docente.

This article presents reflections on teachers’ concerns. After presenting the theory of Fuller and colleagues that underlies empirical studies carried out with student-teachers and teachers in Brazil and abroad, it reflects on enrichment and deepening of research related to the theme. The literature searched reveals both the need to observe changes in society since the Theory of teachers’ concerns was put forward and adjusted, and the need to observe issues related to the theme, the context of action, and methods in order to assess teachers’ concerns with higher accuracy.

Egressos dos cursos de licenciatura em educação física: um estudo de revisão

This study aimed at investigating the journals, which report the graduates of Physical Education. When performing the analysis it is possible to see that the approach to this population, graduates, aims to answer questions and reflections of different aspects of the graduating and post-graduating formation. From the survey results, it’s possible to see the importance of studies on graduating in search of failures to be suppressed in order to adapt it to meet more effectively the needs of the future professionals, and that the post-graduation be more effective to update and deepening the graduates’ knowledge.

Using Bardin’s (1979) content analysis procedures – pre-analysis, exploration of material, result processing, inference, and interpretation – it describes in detail the pathway adopted by researchers in the process of understanding the dialogue between school, assistant teacher, and student.

FASE DE DESINVESTIMENTO DA CARREIRA DOCENTE DE PROFESSORES DE EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA

The present study aimed to analyze the professional disinvestment phase of Physical Education teachers. Four teachers, with more than 25 years of intervention in the Florianopolis’ State Public Teaching System, participated in this life histories’ case study. In the data collection, semi-structured interviews were used and later analyzed via the content analysis technique. Evidences show a bitter disinvestment caused by governmental neglect, and a serene disinvestment portrayed by the teaching absence, when professionals may invest in their personal life projects.
