Zeolites are used as raw material to make nanofiltration membrane because they are easily obtained and cheap. The used of zeolite membranes can be an alternative wastewater treatment. One of the potential alternatives for wastewater treatment is nanofiltration membranes with pore size of 0.001 μm filtered high organic content of laundry which contained high turbidity and phospate. The content of turbidity and phosphate in the laundry wastewater is needed to treat before being discharged into river. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of rejection and flux for each variation of concentration. Variation of concentration that used were pure wastewater which dilluted with tap water in ratio 100%, 75%, and 50%. Based on this research, the characteristics of laundry waste water before filtration process are turbidity parameters showed for 100%, 75% and 50% are 151 NTU, 146 NTU, 143 NTU and for phosphate parameters are 31.30 mg/L, 25.8 mg/L and 11.49 mg/L. After filtration process, the highest rejection value of turbidity for each dilluted concentrations 100%, 75%, 50% are 88.46%, 87.82%, 87.58%. The highest flux value for each dilluted concentrations 100%, 75% and 50% are 7,22 L/m2.hour, 8,49 L/m2.hour and 11,04 L/m2.hour.

Pada penelitian ini digunakan 2 jenis variabel penelitian yaitu konsentrasi air limbah dan bahan kimia pencucian membran dengan menggunakan cleaning agent. Variasi konsentrasi air limbah yaitu pada COD 174 mg/L, 152 mg/L, dan 98 mg/L sedangkan TSS 357 mg/L, 282 mg/L, dan 195 mg/L. Variasi cleaning agent membran yaitu menggunakan larutan NaOCl 10% dan larutan lerak 15%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pengaruh konsentrasi air limbah dan larutan pencuci terhadap koefisien rejeksi dan nilai fluks pada membran. Data koefisien rejeksi dan nilai fluks menentukan larutan pencuci yang terbaik untuk membran zeolit. Karakterisasi membran dilakukan dengan metode Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Cleaning agent membran terbaik terhadap efektifitas kinerja membran zeolit adalah dengan larutan NaOCl 10%. Nilai koefisien rejeksi (%R) membran zeolit yang optimal pada membran yaitu 82% pada konsentrasi awal COD 174 mg/L dengan larutan NaOCl 10% dan 88% pada konsentrasi awal TSS 357 mg/L dengan larutan NaOCl 10%. Nilai fluks (J) yang tinggi terjadi pada membran dengan larutan NaOCl 10% dan konsentrasi air limbah 100% yaitu 39.2 L/m2.jam pada pencucian pertama dan 13.4 L/m2.jam pada pencucian kedua. Sedangkan Nilai fluks (J) pada larutan lerak 15% dan konsentrasi air limbah 100% yaitu 8.1 L/m2.jam pada pencucian pertama dan 10.0 L/m2.jam pada pencucian kedua.

The most problem were faced is fresh water scarcity. Seawater membrane desalination is one of the possible method to solve it. The made of membrane for desalination from coconut choir was the cheapest and easier alternative method. This study were doing step by step and started from making silica by synthetic processed, fabrication seawater desalination, membrane evaluation, and characterization’s membrane. Synthetic silica processed is using acidity technique with HCl. The fabrication of membrane processed is started by mixing silica weight 15 gram with centrifuge speed 500, 600, 700 rpm. The evaluation of membrane were testing with dead-end reactor. Characterization membrane by FTIR and SEM analysis. Seawater is contained salinity 34200 mg/l and TDS 336.200 mg/l. Based on evaluation of seawater membrane desalination by salinity and TDS permeate analysis the optimal membrane characteristic with silica weight 15 gram 600 rpm. Salt rejection value were 46,20% - 66,67% dan TDS rejection 87,27% - 90,72%.
