The experiment was conducted from November 16 to December 28, 2009, add up 42 days. 36 animals of 35 days old were utilized and assigned to three treatments of 12 repetitions each in experimental design completely randomized. The treatments were: TA=Soybean hulls without; TACS=inclusion soybean hulls 50% and TCS=inclusion soybean hulls 100% substitution of Alfalfa at diet. The diets were isonutritives, formulated by requirement AEC (1987). The avaluated parameters were: performance animal, characteristics carcass and analyze economical. Data were analized by analysis of variance and the average compared by Tukey test (P<0.05). Values differences were detected for average feed intake and feed conversion ratio, where rabbits to feeding diets with TCS had consumption lower that to TA and showed better conversion. For the carcass characteristics effects of inclusion of soybean hulls were no significant, with exception of weight epidermis had higger for animals fed with diet TA. The economical analysis of the results showed that the formulation with soybean hulls will be to substitute the alfafa until 100%.

The vocal behavior of rabbit pups was monitored during their first 15 days of life. It was possible to estimate the average of vocalizations issued in the nest by correlation calculations applied to spectrographic images. We performed experimental tests of playback and observed the behavior between the offspring and the doe during the period of lactation. The vocalizations can be important in pup recognition and consequently, stimulate the doe to nurse their offspring, decreasing the rate of mortality in the breeding phase.

This paper aims to characterize the productive dynamic of tobacco culture in Vera Cruz – RS. Has been identified the role of growers in the marketplace, as well as its relationship with the tobacco manufacturing companies. For this purpose, we used an analysis of a quantitative approach; the data were obtained through the application of 22 semistructured forms consisting of closed and open questions. Thus, it was found that tobacco production in the region occurs through a household production, labor-intensive and structured small farms, while in contrast, the tobacco manufacturing companies constitute an oligopolistic market structure. Having contractual relations occur through the process of integration between tobacco farmer and agribusiness. This scenario makes the tobacco farmer more vulnerable to market shocks and makes it highly dependent on the agro-industrial capital. Key-words: Family farming, tobacco, agroindustrial systems, new institucional economics

The study evaluated the export trade of Brazilian beef and to this end we conducted a sectoral analysis to diagnose the factors that make Brazil a major exporter of the product. Ascertained the indexes of market concentration and consumer concurrently measures the evolution of the volume of imports of the 10 largest buyers (from data ABIEC) Brazilian beef in the period from 2000 to 2011. It was found that Brazil has a potential for livestock due to comparative advantages such as abundant land and favorable climatic conditions and that there were major inward investment to the sector. This fact confirms the increasing volume of Brazilian beef exported in recent years. By studying the levels of concentration, it was found that the period of analysis, few countries participated materially in trade of beef from Brazil. We conclude that there are fluctuations in the volumes that each country imports every year, however the group of countries with the highest significance for Brazilian beef exports remain constant and represented 64% of total exports in 2011.

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of inclusion of grape pomace as a replacement for alfalfa hay on performance, carcass yield and morpho hitological parameters of the gastrointestinal tract of rabbits during the growth phase. A total of 30 rabbits of New Zealand White equally divided into three treatments: experimental compounds by standard diet (without inclusion of grape pomace), and the diets with 25% and 50% replacement of alfalfa by grape pomace in the respective experimental diets. The inclusion of grape pomace caused a linear increase in total feed intake and weight gain. The presence in a greater proportion of essential fatty acids in treatment with Omega3 and omega6 T25BU and T50BU best responses promoted husbandry, since these nutrients act positively in the homeostatic equilibrium. The morphohistological results showed that the height of the intestinal villi cecum increased with the inclusion of dietary grape pomace , showing a positive correlation. The inclusion of grape pomace in diets for rabbits in the growth phase alters their performance, increasing the total feed intake and weight gain. It also showed that increasing this co-product improves the morphology of the cecum intestinal villi.
