Estudos organizacionais e desenvolvimento sustentável: em busca de uma coerência teórica e conceitual

This article has two objectives: (1) investigate and propose a defi nition for the expression sustainable development that better contribute to the organizational studies; and, (2) present a theoretical contribution that shows a link between sustainable development and organizational studies. Some epistemologies perspectives and some categorizations for the sustainable development have been researched, which have been related to the Maggi’s (2006) theory of organizational act.

Aproximando Guerreiro Ramos e Bruno Maggi: em busca das capacidades dinâmicas

Este artigo inter-relacionou as principais confluencias existentes entre a perspectiva pioneira de Ramos ([1966] 1983) e a proposicao do agir organizacional de Maggi (2006), pois, embora explorados em diferentes epocas, fundamentaram-se em consistentes e semelhantes referenciais. Sendo um ensaio teorico qualitativo, descritivo e bibliografico, objetivou-se proporcionar um subsidio teorico elucidante das ricas contribuicoes dos estudos organizacionais, no que se refere as bases da gestao, para desvelar o processo de construcao das capacidades dinâmicas pelos agentes sociais em seu agir organizacional. Para tanto, investigou-se a epistemologia de Weber ([1922] 1944) por ser utilizada como alicerce teorico em ambos osestudos. Percebeu-se que o ser humano e compreendido como um agente social dotado de competencias elementares para a realizacao dos processos decisorios. Com uma analise comparativa das confluencias conceituais dos estudos, desvelou-se que o agente social alicerca suas acoes estrategicas por meio de sua racionalidade substancial, provida do exercicio da etica responsavel, manifesta em seu agir social dotado de sentido. Embora com uma cronologia de 40 anos entre os estudos, notam-se similaridades em suas conclusoes ao se perceber que o agente social, por suas competencias elementares empreendidas em seu agir, promove as capacidades dinâmicas nas organizacoes. Portanto, se a relevância desses estudos for devidamente explorada e interseccionada pode emergir contribuicoes efetivas tanto as bases teoricas quanto a pratica da gestao estrategica.

Process of internationalization of business schools in Latin America: the case of EAESP/FGV, Brazil

This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of the academic internationalization process, through the main events and pathways developed over the 60 years of the EAESP/FGV, the São Paulo Business School of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (Brazil). A survey was conducted of former directors, coordinators of the main international programs and all school faculty (266 professors) about their training and international activities. EAESP/FGV has developed a diverse and consolidated international career, surpassing the activities related to teaching and student mobility. However, there are some opportunities to deepen internationalization as a strategic brand of the institution.

Para além dos critérios econômicos do trabalho de baixa renda no Brasil

O que sabemos sobre o trabalho e o trabalhador de baixa renda no Brasil? Provavelmente, o criterio economico sera utilizado para auferir a resposta mais objetiva: o nivel de renda que possuem. Sozinha, essa resposta negligencia que trabalhos dessa natureza sao realizados por certos grupos de trabalhadores que dificilmente ascendem a outra realidade, em face de uma serie de precondicoes sociais que podem tornar a precarizacao do trabalho algo precoce e duravel em suas vidas. Neste ensaio teorico, refletimos sobre as limitacoes dos criterios economicos para o debate sobre o trabalho de baixa renda nos estudos organizacionais brasileiros. Apresentamos, como resultado, suas implicacoes para a pratica da pesquisa.

A ressignificação da formação acadêmica na construção da vida profissional [doi: 10.5329/RECADM.20121101007]

RESUMO Neste artigo teve-se por objetivo compreender como o elemento formacao academica foi transformado em uma estrategia de enfrentamento, que auxiliou os funcionarios que vivenciaram, no ano de 2006, a operacao de aquisicao de uma instituicao financeira internacional onde trabalhavam, por outra instituicao nacional, a lidarem com os impactos dessa abrupta mudanca no ambiente de trabalho, conseguindo, assim, ressignificar o sentido da propria carreira. A pesquisa e qualitativa, descritiva, com corte temporal seccional e perspectiva longitudinal. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas e interpretados a luz da tecnica de analise de conteudo. Concluiu-se que os funcionarios lancaram mao da formacao academica como uma estrategia de enfrentamento frente a operacao de aquisicao, ressignificando, assim, o sentido da situacao e da propria carreira para conseguirem permanecer trabalhando na instituicao adquirente. Ou seja, surgiram novas maneiras de conceber as significacoes da formacao academica na construcao da vida profissional. Aponta-se que, possivelmente, e a partir de como vem sendo realizado o processo de ensino de graduacao no Brasil, que a formacao academica deixa de ser significada apenas como algo que assegura pre-requisitos para insercao no mercado de trabalho e/ou manutencao da carreira. Neste trabalho, a formacao academica se mostrou uma estrategia de enfrentamento, pela qual se faz possivel superar os impactos gerados pelas transformacoes organizacionais. In this paper, the objective was to understand how the element university education was transformed in a coping strategy that helped employees who lived in the year 2006, the acquisition of a financial institution they worked for another national institution, to deal with the impacts of this abrupt change in the workplace, getting thus reframing the meaning of his career. The research is qualitative, descriptive, with temporal and sectional cut, with a longitudinal perspective. Data were collected through interviews, and interpreted using the technique of content analysis. It was concluded that the employees had resorted to university education as a coping strategy against the acquisition, ressignifying thus the sense of the situation and their own career to be able to stay working in the acquiring institution. That is, new ways of conceiving the meaning of the university education in the construction of professional life.
