An Invasive Mole Presenting with Large Arteriovenous Malformation

Gestational trophoblastic diseases (GTD) presents most commonly as molar pregnancy or complete mole in the form of fluid filled vesicles, looking like a bunch of grapes and snow storm appearance on USG. The commonest symptom being irregular vaginal bleeding preceded by amenorrhoea. Uterine arteriovenous malformation with GTD is a very uncommon disorder and can be diagnosed by arteriography or color doppler. We present a case of GTD which was diagnosed as an invasive mole with a unique and unusual morphologic feature of arteriovenous malformation.

Massive fibrinoid debris in the uterus causing post partum hemorrhage.

Atonicity of the uterus is the commonest cause of primary PPH, while retained bits of placenta and membranes usually cause secondary PPH. We present a case of primary PPH during caesarean section due to massive fibrinoid debris over placental site.

Mid-trimester spontaneous uterine rupture

The rupture of a uterus is still an enigmatic episode in obstetrics. Obstetricians may have to face it unexpectedly if it occurs spontaneously. Here, we report a case of a 20-year-old woman who presented to our out-patients department with abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding, and was diagnosed with a ruptured uterus.
