Carine Vendruscolo; Maria Elisabeth Kleba; Ivete Maroso Krauzer; Adriana Hillesheim

This was an activity developed in the Collective Health Management course, by nursing students in the eighth semester from Unochapecó University. The students were challenged to apply their knowledge of the Unique Health System principles and directives, through an active participation in the Situational Strategic Planning with use of the Family Health Strategy. The theoretical and practical activities were carried out in health centers in Chapecó (SC, Brazil). The students experienced the daily life of the workers, participated in team meetings, domiciliary visits and other work routines, in order to diagnose problem situations and develop the four moments of the Situational Strategic Planning along with the Health Team: explicative, normative, strategic and tactical-operational. The experience consolidated the relation between theory and practice and contributed to the critical-constructive training of students, who helped the team to face the problems. The experience also provided them with a good opportunity for academic-professional interaction through their contact with the workers.

Maria Elisabeth Kleba; Ivete Maroso Krauser; Carine Vendruscolo

The Brazilian Unified Health Care System (Sistema Unico de Saude) demands new skills for collective health care management, including effecting social participation and the case-resolving capacity of assistance. This article reports a situational strategic planning experience carried out by the nursing school at Unochapeco in the second semester of 2008. As a Pro-Health activity, the use of this management tool in collective health care was analyzed. From the prioritized problems, the following goals were established: professional education and performance which are coherent with the family health care strategy, emphasizing the situational diagnosis and the schedule of inter-sector actions. Despite the resistance of some workers concerning changes, favourable aspects were emphasized: weekly team meetings, the existence of local health care councils, and the initiatives of community educational actions. This exercise strengthened the students’ communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, bringing together subjects involved in education and service. DESCRIPTORS: Nursing Education, Strategic planning. This integrative literature review aimed at identifying the characteristics and describing how teaching-service integration is expressed in studies on Pro-Saude (Charitable institution for social and hospital assistance) published in Brazil in the period 2007-2012. For the search, the term National Professional Health Education Reorientation Program was entered in the following databases: Virtual Health Library (BVS), Google Scholar and the Bank of Theses of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). Forty-one publications were selected with the following inclusion criteria: scientific papers; theses and dissertations; studies in English, Portuguese or Spanish. The critical review of studies was performed through a comprehensive reading of the texts. Outcomes are presented in two categories: Dialogue and partnership as tools for teaching-service integration and Movements of change in teaching-service through Pro-Saude. Studies have shown that changes in professional education and practice are possible and necessary, especially when supported by strategies that encourage active participation of subjects and confirm teaching-service integration as opportunity for dialogue, promoted by this inducing policy. This integrative literature review aimed at identifying the characteristics and describing how teaching-service integration is expressed in studies on Pró-Saúde (Charitable institution for social and hospital assistance) published in Brazil in the period 2007-2012. Objective: to understand the experiences of violence among young nursing students in the their professional training course and the repercussions of this phenomenon on their corporeity. Method: an exploratory, descriptive, qualitative study conducted between June and August 2013 with 21 young nursing students at a public university in Santa Catarina. The production of the information occurred based on the Creative and Sensitive Method, mediated by Creativity and Sensitivity Dynamics. Hermeneutics was used with the support of the theoretical-philosophical reference of Maurice Merleau-Ponty. Results: two themes emerged: situations of violence experienced by young students in the nursing training process and repercussions of violence on the student’s corporeity. The results reveal the symbolic violence present in the relationships of authority between teachers and students and in the conflicts between health professionals and academics. The young people understand that violence is a natural occurrence in their lives and that it interferes with their corporeity by disturbing their existence, provoking feelings of absence, distancing and indifference, which have repercussions on their health and their care practices. Conclusion: the violence present in the nursing training process interferes with the corporeity by the way of being and the construction of the young person as a being who provides care. The research revealed important elements to reflect on regarding the violence present in the context of nursing education as well as the need to support the actions of the teachers, health and nursing professionals who work in the clinical scenarios

Aim: to identify managers of the Brazilian health system’s perception regarding the continuing health education in the extreme West macroregion of Santa Catarina, Brazil. Method: descriptive, exploratory qualitative study, developed with health managers that integrate a westernmost region of the state of Santa Catarina. Twenty-one health managers were interviewed.
