This paper reports an educational program experience for nurses on caring for the family, at the hospital environment. The objective was to train nurses for the care of the family. The strategies adopted for teaching/learning focused on the Calgary Model of Assessment and Family Intervention, with a group of nurses from a general hospital located in the north of Portugal. In the subjective evaluation of the participants, the pedagogic experience was useful because they could recognize the need for a change on nursing care, and move towards an integrated approach to the family attention. This paper reports an educational program experience for nurses on caring for the family, at the hospital environment. OBJECTIVE Aimed to identify the main needs expressed by family caregivers in caring for adependent person. METHOD An integrative review of the literature in the period between 2010 and 2015 using specific search engine tools in the EBSCO and SCOPUSdatabases. RESULTS 11 articles were selected, and the analysis of the scientific evidence obtained allowed for organizing the results into five thematic areas:transition into care, being responsible for everything, the importance of support, access to formal support, communication and informationprocesses. CONCLUSION The results showed that caregivers have many needs in different areas, which should be addressed in nursing interventions.

Background: Walking has been used as a health promotion and symptom relief intervention in patients with cancer during chemotherapy. Objective: To map the existing literature on the use of walking as an intervention in patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methodology: Integrative review of articles found in MEDLINE® and CINAHL® databases. The review protocol was designed and the thematic categorization was performed. Results: Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 primary studies published between 2010 and 2017 were considered for analysis. Five relevant thematic areas were identified: duration, frequency, and monitoring of walking during chemotherapy; adherence to the walking intervention; effects on psychological and physical symptoms; target population; and assessment tools. Conclusion: Despite the advantages of the walking intervention during chemotherapy, evidence on its use as a nursing intervention is still scarce, with further research being required in this area.

dimension, integrating the social, political and economic reality of each community. METHODOLOGY: This phenomenological study was carried out with two groups of caregivers of dependent family members from Portugal and Brazil, using focus group as a data collection instrument. RESULTS: From the analysis of the narratives of the 12 caregivers who participated in the study, a set of categories emerge: the need to learn alone, the need for time to maintain the roles, the need for a support network, resilience in imbalances family, and the resources to care for them. CONCLUSION: In this work it was possible to highlight similarities in the needs of the caregivers of the two countries.
