Interação cuidador familiar-pessoa com AVC: autonomia compartilhada

Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, utilizando-se como referencial metodologico a Grounded Theory e como referencial teorico o Interacionismo Simbolico, para compreender a experiencia de cuidadores familiares de pessoas com AVC, acerca das modalidades de cuidado adotadas por eles, durante o processo de reabilitacao de uma pessoa com AVC no domicilio. Tais modalidades podem ser exercidas: incentivando o doente a recuperar a sua autonomia; e nao estimulando a autonomia do doente. Ao inter-relacionar os componentes relativos a experiencia, evidenciamos que o proprio cuidador familiar percebe que os processos de retomada da autonomia - da pessoa vitimada pelo AVC e de sua propria - se configuram como interdependentes e condicionados ao nivel de reabilitacao alcancado pelo doente.

Vulnerabilidade da família: desenvolvimento do conceito

This study aimed to develop the concept of family vulnerability. Data were collected through Qualitative Concept Analysis, which involves two phases. In the first, theoretical phase, data from literature were used for identification of the theoretical attributes of the concept. In the second, field phase, data were collected by means of observations and interviews with twelve families going through the experience of a childs disease and hospitalization. Symbolic Interactionism was used as a theoretical framework, which supported Grounded Theory, applied to guide data collection and analysis in the field phase. As a result of phase II, a theoretical model was built, whose central category defines family vulnerability as FEELING THREATENED IN THEIR AUTONOMY, due to the interactions between family members, illness and health team. The comparison between the two analyses allowed for a theoretical proposition of family vulnerability and advances in terms of theoretical knowledge on family nursing.O objetivo deste estudo foi desenvolver o conceito vulnerabilidade da familia. Os dados foram coletados utilizando-se a estrategia da Analise Qualitativa de Conceito que consta de duas etapas: na primeira, a fase teorica, utilizou-se dados da literatura e, na segunda, a fase de campo, entrevista e observacao de 12 familias vivenciando uma experiencia de doenca e hospitalizacao de um filho. O referencial teorico foi o Interacionismo Simbolico, dando sustentacao a Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados, utilizada para guiar a coleta e analise dos dados na etapa de campo. Como resultado, construiu-se um modelo teorico cuja categoria central define a vulnerabilidade da familia como SENTINDO-SE AMEACADA EM SUA AUTONOMIA, em razao das interacoes com a doenca, familia e equipe. A comparacao das duas analises permitiu elaborar uma proposicao teorica de vulnerabilidade da familia e avancar em termos de conhecimento teorico para a area de enfermagem da familia.

O significado da hospitalização para a criança pré-escolar: um modelo teórico

This study was aimed at comprehending the meaning of being hospitalized for pre-school children. The theoretical references were the Symbolic Interactionism and Vygotskys theory on the childs symbolic play. The methodological referential was the Theory Based on Data. Eleven children between the ages of 3 and 6 took part in the survey. The strategies for data collection were: participative observation, interviews with the children mediated by the Therapeutic Toy, and interviews with the mothers. The analysis of the data made possible the construction of the technical model Growing up with the mothers protective presence, which puts in evidence the vulnerability, the childs force and the protection given by the mother to face the mystery and the fear of hospitalization.En este estudio se tuvo como objetivo comprender el significado que tiene para un nino pre-escolar, estar hospitalizado. Los referenciales teoricos fueron el Interaccionismo Simbolico y la teoria de Vygotsky sobre el juego simbolico del nino y el referencial metodologico fue la Teoria Fundamentada en los Datos. Participaron del mismo 11 ninos de tres a seis anos de edad. Las estrategias de recoleccion de datos fueron: observacion participante, entrevista con los ninos, mediado por el Juguete Terapeutico y entrevista con las madres. El analisis de los datos permitio construir el modelo teorico Creciendo con la presencia protectora de la madre, que evidencia la vulnerabilidad, la fuerza del nino y la proteccion recibida de la madre, para enfrentar el misterio y el terror de la hospitalizacion.

Vivenciando com o filho uma passagem difícil e reveladora: a experiência da mãe acompanhante

This study was conducted with live-in mother in university hospital. The objectives were as follows: to understand the experienced interactions, to identify the meanings that a family attribute to the experience of going through the childs hospitalization, to identify what the experience of hospitalization provokes in the family life and construct a model theory representative of the experience. Reference Theory the Symbolic Interactionism and Reference Methodology Grounded Theory had been utilized. From results appeared the phenomenon Going in search of solution and Going through a difficult situation. Through these phenomena, the main category Experiencing a difficult and revealing passage with her child was identified.

Buscando preservar a integridade da unidade familiar: a família vivendo a experiência de ter um filho na UTI

Este estudo teve como objetivos: compreender o funcionamento da dinâmica familiar da crianca internada em UTI pediatrica e construir um Modelo Teorico sobre a experiencia da familia que vivencia a internacao da crianca na UTI pediatrica. Utilizou-se como referencial teorico o Interacionismo Simbolico e como referencial metodologico a Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. A analise comparativa dos dados possibilitou identificar dois fenomenos que compoem esta experiencia da familia: Tendo uma ruptura familiar e Vivendo a possibilidade de vir a perder o filho. A articulacao desses fenomenos permitiu identificar a categoria central BUSCANDO PRESERVAR A INTEGRIDADE DA UNIDADE FAMILIAR, a partir da qual propoe-se um modelo teorico explicativo da experiencia.

Tornar-se mãe de criança com câncer: construindo a parentalidade

The present study, which was conducted using the Interpretive Interactionism method, had the objective of understanding the experience of becoming a mother of a child with cancer. Seven mothers, whose children were undergoing cancer treatment, took part in semi-structured interviews. The results showed that mothers’ role are built in a process that implies the interaction between two themes: LIVING THE TIME OF THE ILLNESS, in which mothers concentrates in themselves, continuously permeated by the uncertainties inherent in the disease, and the need to remove the threats of the child’s death; and LIVING A TIME OF STRUGGLE FOR THE CHILDREN’S LIFE, which represents the dimension of mothers’ behavior in developing their new role. The articulated theme and the epiphanies allowed identifying the connection between parenthood and temporality, in which the time comes into the dimensions of the development of the mother’s role. Sete maes, cujos filhos se encontravam em tratamento de câncer, participaram de entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Os resultados revelaram que o papel de mae e construido numa conjugacao entre dois temas: VIVER O TEMPO DA DOENCA, representando um olhar da mae para si, vivendo uma situacao de incertezas inerentes a doenca e necessidade de afastar a ameaca de morte; VIVER O TEMPO DE LUTA PELA VIDA DA CRIANCA, representando a dimensao dos comportamentos da mae ao construir seu papel. Os temas articulados as epifanias permitiram identificar inter-relacao entre a parentalidade e a temporalidade, na qual o tempo esta manifestado nas dimensoes da construcao do papel da mae.

Entre a liberdade e a reclusão: o apoio social como componente da qualidade de vida do binômio cuidador familiar-pessoa dependente

Se trata de un estudio cualitativo que utiliza como referencial metodologico la Grounded Theory y como referencial teorico el Interaccionismo Simbolico para comprender la experiencia de cuidadores familiares de personas con ACV y su relacion con el apoyo social que reciben durante el proceso de rehabilitacion de persona con ACV en el domicilio. Interrelacionando los componentes (temas y categorias) relativos al fenomeno del cuidado en el domicilio y especificamente a los temas: asumir el cuidado con apoyo y asumir el cuidado sin apoyo, procuramos compararlos y analizarlos para aprehender como se daba la interaccion entre ellos. Percibimos que, ademas de la recuperacion de la autonomia del enfermo, el apoyo social es una de las variables intervinientes en la calidad de vida del binomio cuidador familiar-persona dependiente y esta especificamente relacionada a la libertad del cuidador de retomar su plan de vida.This is a qualitative study which uses Grounded Theory as its methodological framework and Symbolic Interactionism as a theoretical base to understand the experience of family caregivers for Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) patients with regard to social support during their rehabilitation process at home. The components (themes and categories) of the phenomenon assuming home care and specifically the themes assuming care with support and assuming care without support were inter-related for the purpose of comparison and analysis, in order to apprehend how the interaction between them occurred. It was observed that, in addition to the recovery of the patients autonomy, social support is one of the intervenient components in the quality of life for the family caregiver-disabled person binomial, particularly with respect to the caregivers freedom to resume his/her life plan.

O uso de filmagem em pesquisas qualitativas

Considerando o aperfeicoamento dos metodos de coleta de dados, aborda-se a utilizacao da filmagem em pesquisas qualitativas. Este estudo bibliografico tem como objetivos desenvolver reflexoes sobre as possibilidades do uso de video na pesquisa e fornecer subsidios para pesquisadores. O video e abordado como instrumento de coleta e de geracao de dados. Ha alusoes aos aspectos tecnicos, como o uso de câmeras movel e fixa. Nessa ultima, relata-se a experiencia vivenciada pelas autoras, destacando-se a observacao ao principio da neutralidade e o recurso da edicao das imagens obtidas como meio de gerar novos dados. As autoras destacam a possibilidade de detectar contradicoes entre o discurso e o comportamento, que podem ser captadas por meio de filmagem e entrevistas. Faz-se discussoes sobre os principios eticos previstos pela Resolucao CNS 196/96 e outras questoes eticas cujas solucoes devem se basear em acordo entre o pesquisador e os sujeitos.Considering advancements in data collection methods, we explore the use of videotaping in qualitative research. This bibliographical study aims at developing reflections on the possibilities of using videotapes in research and at providing material to researchers. The video is used as an instrument of data collection and generation. We mention technical aspects, such as the utilization of a mobile or fixed camera. By means of the latter, the authors report their experience, emphasizing compliance with the neutrality principle and the possibility of editing the images obtained as a means of generating new data. The authors highlight that it was possible to detect contradictions between discourse and behavior through the use of videotaping and interviews. The authors also discuss the ethical principles set by CNS Resolution 196/96 and other ethical questions, whose solutions should be based on the agreement between researchers and subjects.

A organização familiar para o cuidado dos filhos: percepção das mães em uma comunidade de baixa renda

The purposes of this study are to understand the perception that the mothers from a low income community in Sao Paulo city have about the meaning of their role in the family structure, concerning children care and the strategies used in family organization to carry out this care. The ethnographic analysis allowed us to identify 6 cultural domains and results showed that the mother have a main role in the family. They are the great responsible for the education, raising and socialization of the children. The adaptation of their role is characterized by their attention regarding to children needs.
