Esta investigacao estudou os modos de leituras de diferentes imagens realizadas por estudantes de um curso de formacao de professores, de modo a aprofundar o debate acerca da insercao da reflexao teorica sobre as questoes das imagens na formacao do professor, pois consideramos que esta possibilitara discutir o papel da imagem na constituicao dos textos contemporâneos, nos modos de leituras, na aprendizagem, na constituicao de subjetividades e identidades. Partindo da hipotese de que os modos de leitura geram tanto significados e sentidos previstos como nao previstos pelo autor e que possibilitam aquisicao de outros conhecimentos, igualmente nao pensados a priori pelo autor, nossa questao de pesquisa foi: frente a diferentes imagens, quais sao seus modos de ler? Para tanto, o campo empirico foi o curso de formacao de professores/Pedagogia de uma IFES, onde desenvolvemos uma oficina realizada em dois momentos: questionario de levantamento das memorias de imagens e leitura de imagens projetadas. Comparando as leituras de diferentes imagens, ficou claro que as imagens ganham sentidos mais densos conforme os estudantes tiveram algum aprendizado anterior e que este ficou em suas memorias. Percebemos a dificuldade dos estudantes em utilizar os elementos de sua cultura para a leitura das imagens cientificas, na medida em que estas, geralmente, nao sao formadas por elementos de seu repertorio. Colocados diante das imagens, constroem narrativas e recorrem as suas lembrancas, reforcando a importância que as imagens tem na formacao cultural dos estudantes contemporâneos e a necessidade de um aprendizado da leitura de imagens.

Considering the popularization of science as a central point in the development of Science education we focus on the National Institute of Educational Cinema (Instituto Nacional de Cinema Educativo - Ince) and the ideals of the Escola Nova regarding the use of films in educational processes. The discussion is supported by the analysis of the film Oxygen, which reveals the representations related to scientific production. The film features three harmonic parts: a) context: general presentation of the substance, b) the experimental segment: the lab and experiments space and c) consolidation: highlighting the presence of the substance oxygen in different applications, including military ones. Considering a new conception of the educational process we emphasize: the perception of Physics with its experimental structure and laboratory use, the idea of accelerating social and economics fields leading to a feeling of transformation and the disclosure of scientific findings as the main element in the processes of science education.

The article discusses the discursive production of science education considering the network of meanings formed by notions of scientific culture, dissemination, popularization and scientific literacy. An analysis was carried out on the document Cultura Cientifica: um direito de todos (Scientific Culture: a right of all). We adopt the French theoretical and methodological framework of discourse analysis, and a literature review of such notions was conducted. In the survey of the keywords scientific culture, scientific literacy, science education and popularization of science, we focused on the Presentation of the document and on the articles in which these terms are present. A reading of the articles will indicate that the issue of scientific culture is strongly linked to education, causing the arguments to be constructed in the context of discursive formations engendered in the teaching-science- technology.

Enfoca a disciplina, o e a cao como ordenadora e designadora de uma sociedade que controla o corpo e o social. Em , a informacao genetica desenvolve mecanismos de controle, exclusao e distincao em um sistema social no qual o biopoder organiza-se com base nesse duplo nivel da informacao.

This paper raises issues related to specific cultural products – science fiction movies and analyzes them in the light of the field of information science. It questions the role of science in the context of fiction and information. It intends to establish the status of a piece of fictional information about science. We believe that the dynamics of the memory of the genre is related to the very dynamics of non-scientific information about science. We analyze movie remakes, and take each movie as a moment of a major narrative about the subject science. The approach of knowledge from the point of view of fictional creation, considering information as a structuring element of a discursive phenomenon of the movie culture, is analyzed in the context of cultural dynamics and a praxis of memory. We assume that remakes, by presenting different versions of the same fictional narrative, reorganize facts that had been presented in the first version, aiming at achieving a balance between new and already seen. We present the analyses that have been performed for two movies: Time Machine (1960, 2002) and War of the Worlds (1952, 2005) taking science and the actor as reference, and we highlight some features of this type of information.
