Study on the Strengthening Buffer Operators and Their Applications

Yaoguo Dang; Sifeng Liu; Chuanmin Mi; Jing Zhou

Based on the present theories of buffer operators, we established the ASBO (average strengthening buffer operator), GASBO (geometry average strengthening buffer operator), WASBO (weigh average buffer strengthening operator), and WGASBO (weigh geometry average buffer strengthening operator), etc. all of which possessed the universality and practicability. At the same time, we studied some characters and inherent relation among them, and effectively resolved some contradictions between quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis during the pretreatment of vibration data sequence. Then, we gave an example to illustrate its validity and practicability.

An Improvement on Calculation of Absolute Degree of Grey Incidence

Mingxia Cao; Yaoguo Dang; Chuanmin Mi

By summarizing the recent degree of grey incidence calculating methods, the definition of the sequence similarity and degree of grey incidence axiom are pointed out ,then the absolute degree of grey incidence model in them is improved, the improved grey incidence model have some good properties and an example is given to prove the availability, rationality and practicability.

Study on credibility level of trustworthy software development process based on grey nonlinear cluster

Chuanmin Mi; Min Tian; Xuemei Li

Purpose – This paper attempts to put forward a convincing and flexible grey cluster method that can be used in confirming credibility level of trustworthy software development process.Design/methodology/approach – Determination on credibility level in the software development process is dynamic, as credibility of the results may be different at different times and under different project requirements. Qualitative methods are not entirely convincing, and most quantitative methods are not flexible enough. Grey cluster based on nonlinear grey whitening weight function put forward in this paper is both convincing and flexible. Finally eight projects from the ISBSG database are used for empirical analysis, which confirm that the method put forward in this paper is available and credible.Findings – The results are convincing: not only that grey cluster based on nonlinear grey whitening weight function put forward in this paper is both convincing and flexible, but it can be used in confirming credibility level o...

The reverse order of grey incidence analysis and two judgment principles

Bing-jun Li; Chun-hua He; Li-ping Hu; Chuanmin Mi

One of the most important steps in grey incidence analysis is to process the mapping quantity and the effective correlation factors by incidence operators. However, when they are processed by different incidence operators, the inverse order problem always arises. In this paper, based on the introduction of several grey incidence operators, we propose the principles and methods for appropriate determination of grey incidence order. Applying it to a real problem, we demonstrate that a reverse order problem happens, and investigate the influences by the difference between incidence operators on the incidence order. Meanwhile, we demonstrate that a good performance and effectiveness is achieved by the proposed principles and methods.

Study on 2-tuple linguistic assessment method based on grey cluster with incomplete attribute weight information

Chuanmin Mi; Sifeng Liu; Yaoguo Dang; Jiangling Wang; Zhengpeng Wu

Grey cluster decision-making is an important part of grey system theory. And 2-tuple linguistic assessment resolves the calculation problems of the result of expert qualitative linguistic assessment. But both of them not mention how to calculate the weight of index. Based on the definitions of entropy, a method of getting weight is proposed, and considers the character of grey cluster decision-making and 2-tuple linguistic assessment, this paper proposed the method of 2-tuple linguistic assessment based on grey cluster. It can combine qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis well.

Multi‐attribute grey incidence decision model for interval number

Yaoguo Dang; Sifeng Liu; Chuanmin Mi

Purpose – Based on the characteristics of interval number, the distance of interval number is defined. And based on the grey incidence degree theory, the degree of interval number incidence is defined. These extend grey incidence analysis theory from real number sequence to interval number sequence.Design/methodology/approach – Studies the multi‐attribute incidence decision‐making problems for interval number and models the incidence decision‐making model of multi‐attribute interval number.Findings – An application example is given based on grey incidence decision model with multi‐attribute interval number.Research limitations/implications – This new model can avoid the difficulty of seeking the dummy optimal scheme and the negative optimal scheme, and it regards evaluated scheme as a whole to seek the optimal scheme.Practical implications – It is easy to realizing on computer and the evaluated result is more objective than the results obtained by other methods.Originality/value – Studies multi‐attribute ...

Multi-objective grey target decision making methods under the information of three-parameter interval grey numbers

Dang Luo; Li Sun; Sifeng Liu; Chuanmin Mi

Existing study on grey target decision-making methods mainly for the cases when the decision-making information is real numbers or grey interval numbers. In the case when the decision-making information is three-parameter interval grey numbers, existing grey target decision-making methods can no longer solve such problems. So, based on the characteristics of three-parameter interval grey numbers and the advantages of grey target, multi-objective grey-target decision-making methods under the information of three-parameter interval grey numbers are developed in this paper. A distance between three-parameter interval grey numbers is defined. The underling decision-making problem is considered in two cases: when the grey target weight is known or when it is unknown. The methods of weighted bulls eye distance of three-parameter interval grey numbers, the methods of deviation from the bulls-eye degree and the methods of square distance are given, as well as the algorithm for each method. An example is also presented to illustrate the usefulness and effectiveness of the methods obtained.

Lei Yang; Chuanmin Mi; Jiajia Jin; Sifeng Liu; Zhuo Zhang; Tingting Ma

This article compared and analyzed the research of informationization and industrialization of China and foreign; And learn from the Capability Maturity Model theory and evaluation criteria, proposed maturity grading standard of the integration of the two (the integration of informationization and industrialization); Then the maturity evaluation index system of the integration of the two was constructed, based on this, we constructed maturity evaluation model based on grey clustering; Finally, taking Jiangsu Province as the empirical object, this paper provided an empirical analysis for the integration of the two of South- Jiangsu, Central-Jiangsu, and North- Jiangsu.

Empirical study on relationship between Wuxi city's S&T investment and economy growth based on grey incidence analyzing

Chuanmin Mi; Yaoguo Dang; Sifeng Liu; Tingting Ma

Based on Wuxi citys data of R&D outlay, S&T personnel and GDP, this paper analyze the incidence of the S&T investment and economic growth used the relative degree incidences. The conclusion is that R&D Expenditure and S&T personnel investment both have a positive correlativity with economic growth, and R&D Expenditure investment is more important than others. This indicates that: in Wuxi, investment play more role than others in economic growth. Wuxi should pay more attention on talent introduction and education.

Construction of new weakening buffer operators based on new information and their applications

Dang Yao-guo; Cui Jie; Li Xue-mei; Chuanmin Mi

The grey forecast is one of the important parts in grey systems theory. According to the theory of prior using of new information, based on the present theories of buffer operators and some already existed weakening buffer operators, some new weakening buffer operators are established. Meanwhile, they are compared with the existing weakening buffer operators in effectiveness. The problem that there are some contradictions between quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis in pretreatment for vibration data sequences is resolved effectively. The research result shows the kind of new weakening buffer operators increase the forecast precision of grey forecast model remarkably.
