10.3Gbps burst-mode receiver capable of upstream transmission with short overhead for 10G-EPON

We developed a 10.3Gbps burst-mode receiver with a gain switching TIA and burst-reset control for a 10G-EPON OLT. It can perform burst transmission with an overhead of 280ns while satisfying receiver sensitivity and overload required in IEEE802.3av PR30.

Implementation of optical switch control function in Active Optical Access System

We propose an optical switch control procedure in Active Optical Access System in which optical switches are used instead of optical splitters in PON (Passive Optical Network). An OLT (Optical Line Terminal) determines the switching schedules of optical switches on OSW (Optical Switching Unit), and informs an OSW of them with a switch control frame on the proposed procedure. We demonstrate the proposed procedure works effectively with logic circuits implemented on OLT and OSW.

10-Gb/s Burst-mode receiver for fast settling time

We developed a 10-Gb/s burst-mode receiver for a fast receiver settling time. The receiver has an ATC boost function and a differential output stabilization circuit to realized a fast settling time. We achieved 50-ns receiver settling time.
