Three-phase induction motors are broadly utilized as a part of ventures and in residential purposes due its techno-financial points of interest. The issues involved in the design of three-phase induction motors are that the motors which are designed at rated voltage, however, working under the rated voltages specific in the provincial zones far from the utility Centers are highlighted. Such sorts of motors when work under the evaluated voltage cause more copper losses, derating, throbbing torque, and wastefulness. The aim of this paper is to break down the misfortunes and discover the optimized parameters to enhance the execution of the motors working on appraised to under evaluated voltages. The new designed parameters are compared with the standard one and salient features are talked about by utilizing MATLAB and JMAG Express.

Design Improvement and Assessment of Efficiency of Three Phase Induction Motor Operating Under the Rated Voltage

Rajeev Gupta; Devender Kumar Saini; Raj Kumar Saini; Piush Verma

Three-phase induction motors which are designed for rated voltages but operating under the rated voltages particular in the rural areas increases stator and copper losses which leads to reduction in efficiency, temperature rise, and shorter life time of the machine. Far from the utility centers the voltage profile in most of the distribution networks is poor due to reactive power demand. This paper describe a consideration in design of a three-phase induction motor which can give desirable performance under the rated voltages even when operating without any protection system. The objective of this paper is to improve the design of the induction motors to get its rated performances which are designed for the rated voltage, but generally operating under the rated voltages.

This paper presents the solution of dynamic load dispatching problem using particle swarm optimization (PSO) evolutionary technique. The PSO is used for minimizing the cost with subject to constraints such as capacity of generation and analyses the two different cases on IEEE 30 bus, 6-generator data. It found that the proposed method is capable to provide feasible results for the generating power.

A software approach for the prediction of efficiency of three phase induction motor at optimize iron losses

Raj Kumar Saini; Devender Kumar Saini; Rajeev Gupta; Piush Verma

This research article describe the prediction of best performance of three phase induction motor at optimized iron losses by using two different rotor cages of copper and aluminum at room temperature to maximum working temperature of the motor up to 70° C. The target is to compare the efficiency of the motor by using different combination of stator and rotor design (Discussed in Table-1), and to calculate the variables dimensions of this combination in terms of sensitivity analysis under the condition of above said temperature. With the help of mathematical equations of three phase induction motor a program is prepared on the MAT LAB by using GUI tool. The output of this program is put in the targeted input value of JMAG express for performance calculations of three phase, 11Kw squirrel cage induction motor. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used as an inbuilt tool for optimization techniques and calculations of sensitivity analysis are completed by using correlation matrix.
