Produção do conhecimento sobre teorias de enfermagem: análise de periódicos da área, 1998-2007

Este estudo objetivou analisar a producao do conhecimento sobre teorias de enfermagem publicada em periodicos da area, entre 1998 e 2007. Trata-se de uma investigacao descritiva, de natureza bibliografica, com abordagem quantitativa. Foram encontrados e analisados 171 (4,6%) estudos sobre teorias de enfermagem extraidos do total de 3.757 resumos publicados em sete periodicos cientificos. A maioria destes artigos e oriunda de pesquisas, em que foram utilizadas a Teoria de Enfermagem Humanistica, a Teoria do Cuidado Cultural e a Teoria do Autocuidado como principais referenciais em trabalhos publicados em dupla autoria e originados, predominantemente, nas regioes Sul e Nordeste do Pais. Acredita-se que esta investigacao permitiu dar visibilidade a tal tematica, bem como identificar algumas das caracteristicas e tendencias do conhecimento acumulado referente as teorias de enfermagem, na realidade brasileira.

Humanização em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Adulto (UTI): compreensões da equipe de enfermagem

This was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach that aimed to understand how nursing professionals (nurses and technicians) perceive the humanization policy within the scenario of an intensive care unit (ICU) and their importance in this process. It was developed in a private institution in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, with 18 participants. Data were gathered through a structured interview. Issues relating to elements and characteristics that define humanization came out from the analysis, along with questions present within the process that facilitate it or cause difficulties. It was concluded that empathy, respect and value recognition are essential elements and that nursing professionals believe that they can make a difference in the process of humanization, with a view to improvements in care practices based on ethics, dialogue and the autonomy of patients, their family and the nursing team.Trata-se de estudo descritivo de abordagem qualitativa cujo objetivo foi compreender como os profissionais da enfermagem (enfermeiros e tecnicos) percebem a politica de humanizacao no cenario de uma UTI e sua importância nesse processo. Foi desenvolvido em uma instituicao privada no municipio de Porto Alegre/RS, com 18 participantes. A coleta dos dados ocorreu por meio de entrevista estruturada. Da analise emergiram aspectos referentes a elementos e caracteristicas que definem a humanizacao, bem como questoes facilitadoras e dificultadoras presentes no processo. Conclui-se que a empatia, o respeito e a valorizacao constituem elementos fundamentais e que o profissional de enfermagem acredita fazer a diferenca no processo de humanizar, com vistas a melhorar as praticas de cuidado baseadas na etica, no dialogo e na autonomia do paciente, de sua familia e da propria equipe.

O elemento dialógico no cuidado de enfermagem: um ensaio com base em Martin Buber

Este estudio configura un ensayo teorico-filosofico que tuvo como objetivo reflexionar sobre el elemento dialogico en el mundo del cuidado de Enfermeria, teniendo como fundamentos los presupuestos de Martin Buber. Se parte de la comprension de las raices historicas del concepto de cuidado como algo inherente al existir del ser humano, llegando a su vertiente expresiva y profesionalizada el cuidado de Enfermeria y como el dialogo produce, intermedia y conduce a las relaciones de cuidar. Se termina creyendo que el dialogo precisa ser considerado mas que un mecanismo comunicacional, siendo un acarreador de significaciones y sentimientos al instaurar el encuentro de cuidado en Enfermeria.Resumen Este estudio configura un ensayo teórico-filosófico que tuvo como objetivo reflexionar sobre el elemento dialógico en el mundo del cuidado de Enfermería, teniendo como fundamentos los presupuestos de Martin Buber. This study represents a theoretical-philosophical attempt to reflect upon the dialogical element in the world of Nursing care supported by Martin Buber’s presuppositions. It starts with the historical roots of the care concept as something inherent of the human being’s existence, reaching its expressive and professional slope – Nursing care – and how the dialogue produces, intermediates and leads the relationships of caring. Finally, it is believed that the dialogue needs to be considered beyond the communication mechanism, as it carries significance and feelings when the meeting of care in Nursing is established.

Metodologia da problematização no ensino em Enfermagem: uma reflexão do vivido no PROFAE / RS

Este articulo configura una reflexion acerca de la experiencia de utilizacion de la Metodologia de la Problematizacion en la ensenanza de nivel tecnico en Enfermeria. Tiene como objetivo reflejar acerca de algunas posibilidades y dificultades relacionadas a la utilizacion en la ensenanza de nivel tecnico en Enfermeria. Para tanto, inicialmente, se discurre acerca de las bases constitutivas de la Metodologia de la Problematizacion, pasando al relato de experiencia, para despues clasificar algunas facilidades y limitaciones percibidas cuando de su aplicacion en el area de la salud y Enfermeria.The article configurates a reflection about the experience of using the Problematization Methodology in Nursing technician teaching. Its objective is to reflect on some possibilities and difficulties about the use in Nursing technician teaching. Therefore, it initially refers to the constitutive basis of the Problematization Methodology passing trough the experience report and then classifying some facilities and limitations perceived when considering its application in the health area and in Nursing.

Significados do conceito de saúde na perspectiva de docentes da área da saúde

O estudo objetivou compreender os significados do conceito de saude para docentes profissionais da area da saude de uma Instituicao de Ensino Superior. Pesquisa descritivo-exploratoria, realizada com os coordenadores dos cursos de graduacao da area da saude atuantes em atividades de ensino superior. Os resultados evidenciaram a existencia de um paradoxo em relacao aos significados atribuidos ao conceito de saude. Para alguns, a saude e entendida como um fenomeno complexo; para outros, um fenomeno reducionista. Os dados possibilitam argumentar que houve importantes avancos na apreensao teorica e conceitual de saude, mesmo que para alguns participantes o fenomeno saude ainda esteja pautado em concepcoes reducionistas e pontuais. Abarcar o significado ampliado do fenomeno saude implica, em suma, ampliar as possibilidades interativas alem da articulacao teoria e pratica, por meio de debates e discussoes que fortalecam e divulguem o conceito de saude segundo uma perspectiva ampliada.This study aimed to comprehend the meanings of the health concept for professional teachers of an Institution of Higher Education. This exploratory descriptive research was conducted with coordinators of undergraduate courses in the health field. The results demonstrated that there is a paradox related to the meanings attributed to the health concept. While some teachers understand health as a complex phenomenon, others see it as a reductionist phenomenon. The data suggest that there have been important advances in the theoretical and conceptual apprehension of health though for some participants the health phenomenon is still ruled by reductionist and punctual conceptions. Reaching the broader meaning of the health phenomenon implies not only enlarging the interactive possibilities, but also a theoretical and practical articulation through debates and discussions that strengthen and promote the concept of health according to a broader perspective.

Estratégias de ensino das habilidades do pensamento crítico na enfermagem

This study aimed at characterizing the teaching strategies applied to nursing in order to develop critical thinking skills. An integrative review was elaborated on the Web of Science and Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) data base, with the descriptors critical thinking, nursing and teaching from 1987 to 2008. The sample comprised 64 articles and the analysis provided the identification of 27 strategies for teaching critical thinking in nursing. Among those, the most referred to were questioning, case study, online teaching and interactive learning, concept map and teaching based on problem solving. Different strategies described in the study revealed a wide range of possibilities which can be applied to teaching and to clinical practice. It was concluded that the development of the critical thinking skills through these teaching strategies can help nursing students to be more critical and reflexive.Objetivou-se caracterizar estrategias de ensino utilizadas na enfermagem para desenvolver habilidades do pensamento critico. Elaborou-se uma revisao integrativa nas bases de dados Web of Science e Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), com os descritores critical thinking , nursing e teaching , no periodo de 1987 a 2008. A amostra constitui-se de 64 artigos e a analise permitiu a identificacao de 27 estrategias de ensino do pensamento critico aplicadas na enfermagem. Dentre estas, as cinco mais citadas foram: questionamento, estudo de caso, ensino online e aprendizagem interativa, mapa conceitual e aprendizagem baseada em problemas. Diferentes estrategias reveladas neste estudo evidenciam uma gama de possibilidades que poderao ser aplicadas no ensino e na pratica clinica. Conclui-se que o desenvolvimento de habilidades do pensamento critico por meio destas estrategias pode proporcionar a formacao de profissionais mais criticos e reflexivos

Ser mulher cuidadora de criança com AIDS: compreensões existenciais à luz da filosofia de Buber

Estudio de caracter cualitativo fenomenologico, que busco comprender, segun el referencial filosofico de Martin Buber, lo que es ser familiar cuidadora de un nino con SIDA. Las informantes fueron siete mujeres, seleccionadas de forma intencional, en el hospital-escuela de Porto Alegre - RS. La recoleccion de las informaciones fue hecha en los meses de septiembre y octubre de 2006, por medio de entrevista fenomenologica, y para su interpretacion, se recurrio a la filosofia hermeneutica. Surgieron cinco unidades de significacion. Ser familiar de un nino con SIDA se revela un fenomeno existencial complejo de cambios, cuidados y preocupaciones, en la busqueda por un estar-mejor de ambos en el mundo. Ese cuidar se comprende como siendo un fenomeno tambien complejo, que forma parte de la existencia de la mujer y de la comunidad familiar. Ademas, se considera la posibilidad de valorar la relacion interhumana entre el YO y el TU, y el dialogo existencial para el cuidado humanistico.

Revelação do diagnóstico de aids à criança na compreensão de familiares

This phenomenological study aimed at understanding how the care-giving family sees the disclosure of the AIDS diagnosis to the infected child, founded on the philosophy of Martin Buber. This study was performed at a teaching hospital in Porto Alegre, with seven family members of children with AIDS. Data collection was performed through phenomenological interviews and interpreted guided by hermeneutics. The dialogues for disclosing of the diagnosis to YOU child with AIDS show that this situation occurs in the experience lived by those caregivers and interferes in their existentiality, as it when they establish relationships with the other, in the world. The disclosing of the AIDS diagnosis to the child is a complex phenomenon that generates dialogues related to the everyday situations shared by the caregivers and the children. Further studies are needed on this theme that is constantly increasing in health services, which would take into consideration the dynamicity and singularity of the rumors taken by this epidemics in the Brazilian context.Pesquisa fenomenologica que buscou compreender como a familiar cuidadora percebe a revelacao do diagnostico de aids a crianca, fundamentado na filosofia de Martin Buber. Realizou-se em um hospital-escola de Porto Alegre com sete familiares de criancas com aids. A coleta das informacoes ocorreu por meio da entrevista fenomenologica e, para a interpretacao, recorreu-se a hermeneutica. Os dialogos para a revelacao do diagnostico ao TU crianca com aids demonstram que esta situacao esta presente no vivido por estas cuidadoras e interfere em sua existencialidade, ao estabelecer relacoes com o outro, no mundo. A revelacao do diagnostico de aids a crianca e um fenomeno complexo e que gera dialogos relacionados as situacoes cotidianas compartilhadas pelas cuidadoras e criancas. Acredita-se na necessidade de outras pesquisas sobre esta tematica, cada vez mais emergente nos servicos de saude, e que considerem a dinamicidade e singularidade dos rumos tomados por esta epidemia no cenario brasileiro.

Pesquisa em enfermagem: possibilidades da filosofia de Buber

The nursing researches have collaborated to build the profession knowledge. The tendency in qualitative methodologies is evident, and among them we highlight the phenomenology approach. This paper will present the possibilities of Martin Bubers philosophy in research. In the field work, it can help the interview technique because it is related with relationship and dialogue. During the analyses phase it should be applied as a theoretical framework to interpretation. The Martin Bubers philosophy present elements to understand the encounter of presence among the humans beings, it came from the way of see himself/herself and the world.
