Voltage stabilization in permanent-magnet synchronous generator with variable rotation frequency

Sergey A. Kharitonov; B. F. Simonov; Dmitry V. Korobkov; Denis V. Makarov

The paper proposes the analysis of three design and control scenarios for the system intendeded to generate the variable-frequency and constant-voltage electric energy on the basis of a synchronous generator and a paralleled semiconductor converter. The research scientists demonstrate the stabilization of the synchronous generator voltage, evaluation of basic electrical parameters, and the relationship between them and operation modes of the system.

This paper, considers a mathematical model the starter system for gas turbine engines. Model of the investigated three-stage synchronous generator has been built in the dq-coordinates. The obtained model allows one to configure the machine parameters in a wide range, as well as receive information about currents and voltages major electrical components of the machine. Mathematical modeling shown efficiency of the resulting model and adequacy of the proposed algorithms electric starter mode synchronous machine.

Analysis of coupled inductors in AC variable frequency generation system

Denis V. Makarov; Dmitry V. Korobkov; Peter A. Bachurin; Andrei V. Geist; Alexander G. Volkov; Dmitry A. Shtein

This paper proposes an approach for minimizing weight of variable-frequency constant-amplitude power generation system. The system consists of a permanent magnet generator and semiconductor converters with coupled inductors that provide aircraft power supply. The main approach to maintain an amplitude of generated voltages is using of reactive power injection into the stator as a means of regulating the stator voltage. The main results of calculations are presented.

Applying the estimation system for synchronization of thyristor rectifier operating from the permanent magnet synchronous machine

Vadim E. Sidorov; Maksim A. Zharkov; Dmitry V. Korobkov; Maxim V. Balagurov; Alexander G. Volkov

The use of adaptive estimator based on the flux linkage algorithm gives an opportunity to eliminate the speed sensor and rotor position sensor and to reduce the mass and dimensions parameters of the drive. Estimator provides the actual values of back electromotive force of the synchronous machine and that makes it possible to apply permanent magnet synchronous machine efficiently. The article presents the results of modelling of the permanent magnet synchronous machine operating on the controlled rectifier. The purposes are debugging of estimator algorithm, the comparison with the operating mode without estimator, as well as verification of the algorithm with the dynamic changes during generator operation.

Simulation of the multiple port DC-DC converter

Dmitry V. Korobkov; Alexander N. Reshetnikov; Dmitry A. Shtein; Andrei V. Geist; Tatiana S. Sekushenko; Sergey V. Klassen

DC-DC converters are used as secondary power sources. There are many different topologies of such converters, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages. It is also possible to combine them in order to ensure a more reliable power supply. This paper presents the new scheme of multiple port DC-DC converter and its simulation results in three operating modes.
