In order to understand changes in the context of cultural organizations, this work aims to study the objectives of two non-profit theatrical groups from Florianopolis/SC and the required criteria imposed to them by the financial sources. Four essential categories of analysis guided this research: theatrical group, objectives, financial sources and criteria for performance evaluation. Therefore, these categories orientated semistructured interviews made with the people responsible for the organizations, as well as local observation made by the researcher on the meetings, appointments, sketches and during the plays. This qualitative and longitudinal-perspective research generated reflections about implications on the objectives of the groups. The Erro Grupo showed itself very far from its initial objectives due to its orientation to get financial sources for its projects.

Corporate Volunteer Program (CVP) is a social responsibility tool that integrates organization and local community (MAGALHAES; FERREIRA, 2014). The decision of the employee in becoming a volunteer is, in its essence, the motivation that drives the person to act to satisfy a need (BERGAMINI, 1997). Analyze and understand this phenomenon is relevant to the management of CVPs, because it allows a better understanding of the volunteers’ behavior and consequent challenges faced by programs’ managers. The goal of this study is to identify the employees’ reasons of entrance and permanence in corporate volunteer performed by a construction company located in Parana State. The research is qualitative with a descriptive approach, based on the interview of seven volunteer employees. Data was composed by a documentary research and semi-structured interviews. Documents related to CVP were analyzed to understand the planning, program disclosure, recruitment and retention of volunteers. It was possible to identify that, initially, altruism, meaning the desire to develop the community, is what motivates volunteers to act to support social benefits. However, selfish reasons, personal and professional growth, are also critical for entry into CVP. Another aspect that considerably influences the permanence of the employee as a volunteer is the recognition of the organization of voluntary work.

Many different issues related to non entrepreneurial organizations have been taken the attention of managers and academics concerned with organization studies. An important point of concern has been their search for financial support and power relationship established among different actors in such scenario. The objective of this work is to present and analyze the process that some theatrical scenic groups have been passing through in relation to different financial sponsors. Six financial sponsors were studied in this research: three public ones and three private organizations. The financing process was analyzed considering aspects such as: announcing mechanisms to attract projects, demanding aspects for an approval, the evaluation criteria applied when analyzing the proposals. According to the results different effectiveness criteria were observed in the process such as personnel qualification, internal controls, registers and documentation, quality of the show and impact on the general public or society. Criterion explored by a non-profit civil organization seemed less related to internal organizational processes, thus decreasing possible impacts on the bureaucratization of the cultural organizations.
