To analyze in the framework of elementary State schools located in Guajara-Mirim, the environmental education practice in reference of the National Curriculum Parameters for Education in Brazil which may bring new elements allowing to infer on the prospects for the future generations of a region highly committed to the environmental policy instituted in the State of Rondonia (Brazil) along its trajectory. Method: It has been used a construction method of Environmental Education Perception Index (IPEA) which has followed the logic of factorial analysis. Results: In general, the IPEA (Teachers) submitted a result considered good. About the students, the result was troubling due to 75% of the of the schools studied submitted results considered only regular. The average IPEA of formal public education at the fundamental level was considered regular at the IPEA of 0.597. Final Considerations:It does not notice an educational coherence for what is the strongest point in Guajara-Mirim: environmental preservation. It was possible to observe that the Guajaramirense society is experiencing a moment of institutional crisis, of values, ethics and behavior which reflects directly on the citizens attitudes that do not correspond to the status of a region with a strong environmental policy.

Two Decades of Developmentalism: Bottlenecks and Plans of State Intervention in Brazil in the Second Half of the Twentieth Century

Sergio Francisco Loss Franzin; Fabrício Moraes de Almeida; Laura Borges Nogueira

This work takes as its theme public policies on development. It aims an overall analysis of the most urgent issues of political and economic plans launched in Brazil in the second half of the twentieth century. Specifically, the intention is to discuss the establishment of government policies in combating bottlenecks in the national economy through the Plans. This is an article based on concepts of development and the major general lines of the development plans in this country. Kon’s works (1999) are the fundamental theoretical basis. We notice that Brazil experienced two very different decades, the 1970s and 1980s: the first focused investment for economic growth; the second, turned to fighting inflation. Because of discourses and appointed limits, developmentalism occurred, but no development in the strict sense. Between public debt and inflation addiction, which were parallel in the two mentioned decades, (still) rests the same issue in the country: What is development? What is the country’s development?

Regional Development and the Indicators for Mapping of Local Productive Arrangements of Rondônia (Brazil)

Sergio Francisco Loss Franzin; Fabrício Moraes de Almeida

This is a documental research, whose main objective is to present indicators for a new mapping of Local Productive Arrangements (APLs) in Rondonia and, specifically, discuss the dynamics of reference data and its importance to the investment policies with a view to regional development. he data were calculated from tables of the Annual List of Social Informations (RAIS, 2012), presented by the Regional Secretariat of the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) (BRAZIL, 2014), and by census of vegetal extraction, agriculture and sylviculture available on the IBGE website, relative to 2013. It was observed that most of the APLs identified in previous studies have not been confirmed by the data of the RAIS and of the IBGE. From these data, we identified more than 100 potential APLs in the State, while are currently presented only 18. The cattle breeding, for example, appears in the previous studies restricted to a microregion only, but it is significant in seven of the eight microregions of the State. Are also quite significant the production data of fruit and fish, among other products, confirming a diversified economy in the agricultural sector; in the secondary sector, however, there are few references, most notably in larger businesses involving wood, civil construction, and strictly in Porto Velho, electricity. It is suggested to be made larger investments for APLs studies in the State, including for full mapping not only per Microregion, but also by the city, in order to identify best opportunities, fill the gaps, offer support and strengthen the endeavors. There is much that can be allocated as resource in the Multi-Annual Plans of State.

The water is an universal soluble, fundamental to every living being. The main component to the human body and indispensable for any form of life, however, there is an increasing preocupation within the quality of their providers, which are the rivers, strands and springs, but as the time passes by are threatened by anthropogenic activities, main causer of the contamination and destruction of the local fauna and habitat. The principal objetictive of this research was to generate necessary information to further make use of this water, specifically located in Porto Velho, Rondonia, in Jamaris Rivers hidrographic basin sided with Green Rivers, one affluent and one subfluent of Madeiras River, which is one of the most important hidrographic basins of Amazons River, yet, lots of physical, chemicals and microbiological parameters were effected, like pH, turbidity, overall alkalinity, overall toughness, iron, chloride, color, fecal coliforms, that are capable of identify the contamination by anthropic action, obtaining the characteristics of the containing waters in the studied area, which in turn had favorable results, following the collected results we could confirm that all them were under acceptable and expectable parameters required by legislation in force of bathing, aquatic community preservation and human consumption, being the last one dependable of a simple threatment (chlorination).

The objective of this study was to investigate the changes caused by a program of physically-based physical exercises in the arterial blood pressure (SBP) values of elderly, hypertensive and sedentary women undergoing pharmacological treatment. Two study groups were formed, totalizing 33 subjects with ages ranging from 60 to 75 years, which were constituted as follows: a) an experimental group (EG), composed of 18 hypertensive and sedentary students, under pharmacological treatment and attending the Center of Physical Activity of the Banco do Brasil Athletic Association of Itaberai, Goias, Brazil, which during the experiment were regularly submitted to physical exercise routines (Age: 63.8 ± 14.8, Body Weight: 74.7 ± 13.8, Height: 165.8 ± 12.6); and b) a control group (CG), composed of 15 students also hypertensive and sedentary, under pharmacological treatment, who during the study were not submitted to physical training routines (Age: 71.6 ± 15.1; Body Weight: 68, 3 ± 13.8, Height: 160.3 ± 12.8). The experimental procedure had a total duration of 10 weeks, in which the EG was submitted to aerobic physical exercises controlled by the perceived effort index, associated with resistance exercises aimed at localized muscular resistance, and the training sessions were performed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 60 minutes each. At the end of the procedures the statistical analysis allowed to observe that the PASS scores presented by the SG and GC accounted for p = 0.000 and p = 0.150, indicating statistical significance only for SG, whose mean values u200bu200bwere reduced by 6.5 mmHg, differently from the scores of CG, which decreased by only 0.5 mmHg, representing 5.16% and 0.36% of functional improvement in the variable in question. A similar behavior was found when analyzing the PASD values, which at the end of the experimental procedure had a p = 0.017 and p = 0.051 for the EG and CG, respectively. Likewise, statistical significance was detected only in the EG, whose mean scores decreased numerically by 4.0 mmHg, distinct from the CG that involved only 0.7 mmHg, meaning 4.60% and 0.82 %% of physiological improvement in the variable under discussion. These findings suggest that a physical exercise program built on a scientific basis may be a valuable tool in nonpharmacological therapy for arterial hypertension.

Daniele Fernandes Rodrigues; Milena Ferreira Hygino Nunes; Fabio Machado de Oliveira; Joyce Vieira Fettermann; Carlos Henrique Medeiros de Souza; Fabrício Moraes de Almeida

The main objective of this work is to demonstrate the advances made by the CATI research group with regard to the proposal to create a virtual collaborative news environment (AVNC) , to be initially implemented at the Northern Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro State University(UENF) through the Postgraduate Program in Cognition and Language. This interdisciplinary environment involves concepts from the area of communication, administration and information technology and seeks to meet the demands of generation, storage, retrieval, processing and transmission of information in this digital age. The AVNC involves three research fronts: rethinking the logic of news production, structuring a platform that is collaborative and defining what a business and management model should be that can give sustainability to this environment. In todays world, it is important to consider the readers increasingly active participation in journalism, through information and communication technologies, thanks to the social changes that come with them. In times of cyberspace and cyberculture, it is necessary to rethink the dynamics of journalistic production. For this, authors like Pierre Levy, Lucia Santaella, Henry Jenkins, Caio Tulio Costa, among others were searched. In an era in which forms of collaborative ownership prevail, the platform being considered in this research follows the 3C collaboration model, according to Michalsky, Mamani, and Gerosa. A global platform where individuals interact, communicate, collaborate and gather information requires a business model and management that assists in managing the collaborative virtual news environment. For this, we used authors such as Alex Osterwalder, Eric Flamholtz, Siqueira and Crispim, Campos, among others. With this, an increasingly intelligent and collaborative environment is expected, with the active participation of all the agents involved. That is, what is proposed is the total interaction of the Internet user-reader.

The imminent interest in issues related to the oil and gas sector has always proved to be a profitable source of investment and research, with incremental gains and innovations in the various sectors of the offshore industry. Particularly in the context of resource localization, the adoption of mathematical models presents itself as a challenging theme. In this context, the research has the purpose of proposing a localization model of Stationary Production Units (SPU) of an oilfield located in the Campos Basin, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The computational tests were conducted using the Lingo software, based on data from the Albacora Leste field. The results of the proposed model demonstrated a reduction of approximately 12% in the configuration costs, compared to the current location.

Expressions of the Individual’s behavior in Digital Network: Education in a Technological Society

Carlos Henrique Medeiros de Souza; Isabel Riscado Fernandes; Fabio Machado de Oliveira; Joyce Vieira Fettermann; Fabrício Moraes de Almeida

The article assumes that the behavior of expressions of individuals is related to the digital network, in which forms of human relationships are being forged in order to understand differently the process of teaching and learning with autonomy that can generate a new way of thinking, creating values and representations. This may resize behaviors in individuals and affect the perception of the subject in relation to themselves and others. New technologies, consumption and media influence shape and build the contemporary psyche. Thus, it becomes essential to consider the force with which the new messaging serving media plays in order to socialize and in the individual subjectivity. In this context, new challenges for education that allow the birth of studies and concepts, in order to explain this new reality and to contribute to the art of teaching and learning. One of these, therefore, will be part of this work, which is called Informational Normosis or Informatosis.

Cristiana Barcelos da Silva; Carlos Henrique Medeiros de Souza; Laís Teixeira Lima; Erik Brum Drumond; Fabrício Moraes de Almeida; Priscilla Gonçalves de Azevedo

Research data demonstrate that the analyzes built around School Evasion considers, primarily, the quantitative metrics of studentsrsquo; entry and exit and also the monetary losses, especially because it would be incoherent not to take as reference the goals and objectives outlined for education school system. However, analyzing the vectors that influence studentsrsquo; decision to interrupt their formative process, according to purely numerical criteria, would imply in ignoring the function of educational institutions and the real causes/reasons stemming from the social and relational demand of students passage on educational institutions. For this reason, problematizing some of the recurring issues and incidents generated by certain investigations seems instigating and challenging. If in on the one hand, the attitude of understanding the conceptualization, the investigative tendencies and the characteristics of the studies give rise to certain criticisms that put in check the complexity of the object in question, on the other, it can stimulate the construction of other tendencies, new pathways, other possible ways of overcoming the gaps identified in the studies about School Evasion in Brazil.
